In this case I think the date change is incidental, likely just the easiest axon overlay they could grab and slap over whatever they did to make the image look like it was sunset instead of night.

This is far from the most egregious thumbnail manipulation by bodycam channels, I know EWU and Midwest Safety (and others, but these two did it a lot) very recently were just completely changing the thumbnail sometimes 3-5 times in as many days for new videos, and by changing I don't mean cleaning it up or boosting the colors, I mean it changes from cop talking to someone who has stepped out of car to a screen grab from a chase, or completely different points in the interrogation (with EWU for example). I want to say sometimes title changes were also involved. I think the idea was trying to get people to click on the same video again accidentally.

not unique to bodycam footage but i noticed changing thumbnails every few hours or days after posting a video is more commonplace behavior nowadays, many more channels i've noticed began doing it, for every video too, like they have a designated collection beforehand and prepared thumbnails, one for posting with, one for a few hours later, one for a day or two later when people who don't see notifs check their subscriptions, maybe a few more, and then a permanent one
you can't chalk it up to them just changing their mind when it happens like clockwork this way

i'm certain there's some psychological science to it, perhaps they've figured out wwhat type of thumbnail appeals to people who catch videos first, whereas what type appeals to people who check a few hours later, what time appeals to casual scrollers, and then people seeking out the video and finally those who would come by it on their channel.. but that sounds fucking terrible

YT put in a feature(?) a while back that allows uploading multiple thumbnails for a given video, which the algo compares based on clickthrough and selects the best performing.

so it's a new feature, makes sense why it's been happening en masse suddenly
knowing that, it makes it way better than thinking so many youtubers have become full blown psychopaths who research which thumbnail performs best with which audience to minmax their view gains...

It always goes like that. They cannot obey an order. They're incapable. Hardwired to be defiant and stupid even in the face of overwhelming opposition and regardless of any show of force. We've seen countless examples of these idiots having multiple guns pointed straight at them, being told to their face they will be shot if they don't do [x], and immediately do something else, leading to being shot and usually killed. It's some developmental thing. I'm sure their "culcha" of endlessly antagonizing poe-leece plays a significant role.

They used whips on the farm equipment to keep it in line, because there wasn't much other way to ensure obedience. Stopping that practice led to the current situation we have -- creatures that refuse to obey commands no matter what.

You could pick out of a handful of 1000s of bodycam videos and it will be the same thing. We need to start sentencing white liberals to clockwork orange style forced viewings of this shit.

Huh? He fell over like five seconds after he was shot. People don't just instantly drop when struck by a bullet ... even if it's a headshot it still takes time for the muscles to stop doing their thing and gravity to play its part.

Also yeah he was probably high as a kite, which probably helped him ignore the physical sensations of the shots. He probably only fell over because enough tissue was damaged that his body couldn't stay balanced or support itself standing upright anymore.

Handguns are horrible are stopping someone unless you hit their spine, heart etc. David Blake took 15 or so rounds iirc point blank center mass and lived.

Looks like store issued an Amber Alert code which locks all doors then makes announcements calling for the parent or guardian of unsupervised children to come to the front of the store.
