EDF 5 is maybe the best actualy agument fo games as at. LIke, eveyone suckles on The Last Of Us but the title isn't even used in the game they might as well call in The Gay Sass Fost o liteally anything. In EDF, in evey mission, at the main menu the abbeviation of the title: Eath Defense Foce is chanted by playes, chaactes they say "EDF EDF"

and you can sing and call ait stikes on bees
in the last of us you can be gay and killed by a tanny

Anothe game that was vey aesthetic was The Cew 2. I have yet to fom my own Cew 2 but you can dive coast to coast in plane, sea, land o boat. It's eallu cool coasting though the south but kind of unealistic being able to dive faste than 0.1 MPH though the fench quate in New Oleans (in the game) if you've eve been thee IL.

I have a nice bike and a shot blonde hai acing lesbain.

I thought this thread was made in earnest at first but now I think you're being sarcastic.

If you aren't though, then I'll chime in with Okami, if you're into weeb shit; great music, great visuals and sound effects. It's just a satisfying game.

Cuphead. Cuphead's aesthetic is rad.

Hotline Miami is the OG aesthetic

The early peak, pinnacle and impetus of the 80s throwback fad that spawned a plethora of terrible games and short films and metric fuckton of killer synth music.

I think Yume Nikki is a pretty good aesthetic game, but I might have weird tastes lol
The nips wouldn't know an aesthetic if it dropped 2 nukes on their heads

OK, I'll excuse my obvious pick (It's in my avatar) and Jet Set Radio is finally getting the love it deserves so no point in using that one.

Two good AESTHETIC games were made by climax graphics/crazy games

Blue Stinger and ILLBLEED are two examples of a sector of gaming that doesn't really exist anymore: The middling tier B-Movie type game.
Sometimes great, sometimes OK, sometimes utter shit. These games display what a mad science experiment those single/double A dev houses were pumping out before the HD era.
The 6th gen was the king of this and both games are absolutely filled with that era's common tropes.

If you want more 6th gen goodness you've also got stuff like Spawn for Dreamcast or Outtrigger or Heavy Metal Geomatrix or Devil May Cry or ICO or Shadow of the Collosus or that Japanese Half Life 2 arcade machine.

Hotline Miami has a fucking awesome aesthetic and fun and challenging game play. Katana Zero has that feel with a more gritty city feeling. Vice City is pretty aesthetic, Katamari Damacy and Okami are aesthetic. And finally would have to say Hypnospace Outlaw. Some upcoming games look good like Knuckle Sandwich. Seriously can't wait to play it.

Obligatory Shadow of the Colossus mention. That game was gorgeous when it first came out.

A more unorthodox answer I'd give would be Soulbringer. It was an early 2000s PC rpg. Wasn't a very good game, but the opening chapters where you're wandering through this desolate landscape and town, surrounded by snowfall under the cover of night always stuck with me for some reason. There was something very ascetically pleasing about playing that area late at night during the winter holiday.

Bioshock Infinite may not have been great gameplay wise but DAMN did Columbia look like a dream. I'm always a slut for early 20th century art.

Original Rapture is an art deco wet dream (gettit? I'll see myself out). Aesthetic as fuck.

Surprised Mr. Kyle Hyde Avi didn't mention Hotel Dusk. Peak aesthetic for the DS, nice and jazzy which is something you don't see often.

Myst, Riven and Exile come to mind. Some of the others in the series as well, but those three in particular really had excellent art direction and it tied into the gameplay. Spire in Myst IV was also fucking great.
