I doubt many parents want their kids getting axed in their single digits if they can help it. Doubly so if it's a region where disease carriers might loom.
 
They seem to have done this back-to-the-land thing entirely arse-about-face. I thought the idea was to decomplicate your life by moving to a village, retaining the good things technological progress achieved (like medicines), while having a chance to participate genuinely in society rather than as an atomised consumer.

They moved to a garbage-strewn midsize city known for empty hedonism, and rented an apartment in some shitty rooming house to live the Dunning-Kruger version of a life in tune with nature- "If you use plants and herbs you target the bad without attacking the good bacteria as well.". Their kids play in a small brick-lined 'garden' when they aren't trashing the house, pissing off everybody they might call friends or community (those are things on facebook, right?).

To top the lot, their asthmatic kid got scarlet fever, a disease we started vaccinating for in the 1920s and which is readily treatable, for free, on the NHS. They decided to wait it out as they have a (somewhat feral) spare.

Either Social Services or dengue fever will say otherwise.
 
Um......welcome to California? We have entire cities of kooks exactly like these.

We implemented a new law that requires a vaccination to enter school and the only way out is a doctor's exemption. That was after a measles outbreak that started at Disneyland and affected a lot of people.

Of course, it's California so there is no shortage of doctors who will give the exemption.

I've seen and met many parents exactly like this. Their kids can be undisciplined snots by high school age, but not always. (They often decide they want to go to school) The parents are typically less civilized than the kids. (After a certain age, of course)

I feel like these people would fit right into our rewilding thread.

Also, if they're going to come to America they better make their own boat or learn how to swim long distances because I think airplanes wouldn't fly with their "strive to connect back to nature by cutting off non organic goods" bs.

I grew up in a community that had several Mennonite fundamentalist families. They all home-schooled their children, and dressed like an Amish family would. Most of them didn't care what the kids did outside the house and let's just say there was plenty of sibling fuckery going on behind the scenes.

These folks look like they would fit in just fine there. That mother seems to have raped a couple kids herself.
 
Boy howdy. I sincerely hope someone forcibly removes those kids before they exit the threshold for learning language, otherwise these kids are 100% fucked. Given how CPS is reticent to pull kids from homes without severe abuse, it's likely these kids will become "feral children" or die in some backwards ass area.

If they're like the other nutjobs, they definitely have sex in front of their kids.
You can find it by searching caselaw online, but there was an extremely long opinion on a custody battle that involved a nutjobs and the nutjobs forum mothering.com that talked about how they'd do the nasty with their kid right there in bed with them.

I see arseholes like this at my job every day. They wear hemp. They stink of nag champa. They throw a huge bitchfit if there's not enough vegan or gluten free options, or if you try to give them anything in a plastic cup or bottle. They never stop talking about Thailand. Their crotchspawn are semi-feral undisciplined entitled little shits that communicate in lifestyle buzzwords and chimpanzee shrieks. They wear bindis. And they ARE better than you and will go out of their way to tell you so.

Living in Bristol, you come across people like this much more often in the posher areas of the city and in the massive vegan community we seem to have grown lately like a big whiny tumor. The majority of these cunts seem to gravitate towards Brighton, thank fuck.

For any yanks out there, Brighton is the Tumblr of the UK. The population of dangerhairs is so high, entering the city without shades will give you an epileptic fit.
