Does anyone listen to The Worst Idea of All Time? These 2 guys watched and reviewed Grown Ups 2 once a week for a year. Unfortunately, that season is behind a paywall now. I downloaded the whole thing when it was still free, though.

This bit from the Nolstalgia Critic's Pixels review pretty much sums up his career:
The Adam Sandler checklist from Half in the Bag is only more accurate with each new movie he puts out:

There was a similar thing to what Half in the Bag did with common tropes in Adam Sandler movies in that Nolstalgia Critic review of Pixels, but instead of a checklist, it was an app.

But I like The Wedding Singer :c, and I thought Hotel Transylvania wasn't terrible.

But it's not good enough for a trilogy what the fuck Sony, Sandler, Tartakovsky???

I like to think Jack and Jill was made by a team of scientists to make the quintessential Sandler movie nightmare.
You are half-correct, I'd say.
You know, when you're at a party and at 7AM, suddenly, the host plays some exceptionally shitty music really loudly? It usually signals that the party is over and the shitty music is meant to put off the last guests.

Jack and Jill serves the same purpose, only for movie nights.

The first one was good, haven't seen the second (though I heard it's ok), but that plot synopsis reads like cancer.
I'd call that a lame, overdone plot if it was from a Hanna-Barbera TV show.

I hope they make a 4th one called Hotel Transvestite that features MagicNanners as the protagonist.
