As the great Abdul al-Hazred once said: "Most of the quotations from famous people on the net are camelshit".

Holy shit, I didn't realize he was in Remote Control. His first comedy album was amazing at the time. Happy Gilmore is a classic but every other movie of his is just a cut and paste of that movie.

The picture in the OP is depressing. Damn.

It's the picture of a man who realizes he's trapped in an ever downward spiral of shit and unfunny stuff and lacks the resources to pull out of it.

Sandler still somehow makes plenty of money from his movies, so lack of resources isn't the problem here.
Somewhere deep inside he might care that his movies suck, but he's just earning so much money this way without putting in much effort.

I got PTSD from watching both Grown Ups 2 and Jack and Jill in a row during a bus trip.

It's just awful, does he do it on purpose?

I gotta say, I have mixed emotions about Jack and Jill. Al Pacino's character is hilarious and Sandler's (male) character isn't too bad, but Jill just ruins it.

I think Funny People & Punch Drunk Love were excellent movies. I also have a soft spot for Bulletproof as well as a couple of other decent movies that have been mentioned. On the whole he does produce a hell of a lot of crap, but in his defense they make enough money that the studios are happy to let him keep on going. So who's truly autistic? Sandler & his buddies who make a tidy profit and get to hang out for a few months, or the people who go to see his shittier efforts.
