I’m curious. I wonder how many peeps on the farms are AA fans! Who’s your fav character? I like Miles Edgeworth a lot. Franziska von Karma is a favorite too! I also wanna see which of the games tend to be the farms’ favorite as well. :biggrin:

also press f for dgs and miles edgeworth investigations 2. I swear if capcom releases those games (even just digitally) or make a physical trilogy collection available in the west, they’d make a killing from all the fans going bonkers over the hype, lol

Hi, welcome to the forums.

I played the first three games when they were new on DS, and freakin' loved them. Holy crap man, Ace Attorney 3 building up over the entire course of the entire game, to finally convict Dalilah Hawthorne once and for all was absolutely incredible. Everyone should play these games at some point in their lives.

My favorite character? I dunno, I guess Gumshoe? It's been a long time since I've played Ace Attorney. I fell out of the series by the time Apollo Justice rolled around, though I did buy 5 on iOS and never got around to playing it. So I've got a hell of a lot to play whenever I feel like getting back into the series - 4, 5, 6, The Great Ace Attorney 1 & 2, and AAI 1 & 2.
 
Nice! I’m replaying the trilogy for the first time in literal years, damn I missed the series. Even got a friend into it too :p
Tbh I’m just catching up on lore cuz I recently got Apollo Justice
 
I've "played" the first five - putting played in quotes because I never completely finished Apollo Justice.

Somehow, it never rubbed right with me personally. A lot was clearly a copy-paste of the original ideas and characters, and I never understood why Phoenix was canned for that game.
Either they should have never removed him as protagonist, or the newcomer main characters should have been different at least in personality. Klavier was just as slick as Godot for example, and Trucy was uncannily similar in personality to Maya.

Just my own take though.

I like klavier, the fact he’s also a musician is a fun concept tbh.

Probably Dee Vasquez, Morgan Fey, Ini Miney, and Dahlia Hawthorne.
Idk they all just had super interesting stories and motives. Shame their fates are essentially all ambiguous.

I only played the trilogy (and DGS 1). Of the trilogy's secondary characters, my favorites are
- Adrian Andrews, what a royal fuckup. I imagine her as a submissive lesbian, because I thought that's what the designers were going for, and because she's funnier that way.
- Desiree DeLite, she and Ron are hilariously infantile twits who totally deserve each other, and it's kinda cute, and even more ridiculous for that reason.
- Will Powers, he's a genuinely good person and I wish the best for him. I think of him as a beefier Mr. Rogers. I have the Steel Samurai theme set as a ringtone on my phone.

So far the only games I havent played at all are Trials and Tribulations, Investigations 2, Dual Destinies, and the DGS games. Right now I'm on the final case of Justice for All, the second case of Investigations, and the extra case in SoJ

play TaT > AAI2 > DD, the games are mostly chronological and are tied together with recurring characters
 
I only didn't play the 3DS ones now. Really depressing that Investigations 2 isn't released outside Japan because I personally find it to be one of the best, if not, the best game in the franchise.

Capcom is currently promoting the Ace Attorney Trilogy HD frequently with no implication of any new games so far.

They have to put out another one given that ending scene in SoJ
 
Meanwhile I just wanna have all the games for switch, seeing as how the 3ds is pretty much dead. I’d like to see aa 4-6 for switch. It’all be kinda cool IMO to make it a lot more accessible to new fans. The amount of switch owners is pretty dang big iirc, so more than the trilogy would not only make capcom a ton of money but maybe show that there are actually bunches of fans in the west. Maybe we’ll get a physical edition here, most likely not but a girl can dream...
 
I can understand why we didn’t get DGS a tiny bit...but AAI2? Nope. Iirc at the time Miles was very popular, guess that the first one didn’t sell well in the west or something...

To be fair AAI1 didn't sell well overseas, and Edgeworth is overwhelmingly more popular in Japan compared to his following in the rest of the world. That said it's still a bullshit excuse to deny one of the best games in the series given how much it adds to Edgeworth as a character.
