Nah, it's not just you, I think they're the first JP publisher that rammed the DEI dick down their throats.

Ah, brother... From Knightley to Gregory (minus Blaise), everyone has a slight case of same voice. It sounds like one particular guy could do all of their voices if their inflection just shifted slightly for each.

Blaise is a super degrade, but Justine doesn't sound that bad, given what I took away from prior posts. Still a farcry from the fan translation, though. Simon sounds so good, it's like they found the guy from the fan translation, and offered him a gig and a better mic.

Is the "Catherine Hall & Jeff Master's 'Piece of Cake'" audio available to hear, also?

Gregory's does sound off. The old fan one did sound a little out of place, but it fit his appearance. Edgeworth's dad always reminded me of some mix of Gregory Peck and Bruce Wayne. This new voice doesn't really fit. Actually, the more I listen to it, the more I think it needs to be deepened an octave.

Do you just mean the music? It's been ripped before, they didn't change it for the remaster.

So, a bit of a minor update: there is a name in the official translation that is basically the same one used in the fan version.

It's fucking Delicia Scones who is now just Delicia Scone.

Yeah.

I'm so mad they chose that bitch's name to keep virtually the same, and not Simon Keyes'.

Oh, I meant this. The only extended vocal "performance" in the game.






Hilarious how they reused someone who volunteered, and the quality is still great.

Honestly, it's par with new Simon (who again, sounds like old Simon with a good mic) for some of the better voicework in the game.

Considering that her name was always meant to be a makeshift name out of "Delicious" + Scone (no plural), it's more irksome if they were aware of the translation, and still decided to do it like that anyway. No one is that autistic enough to get on the localizers' case about an "s" lmao. If anything, Excelcius is more tophat worthy.

I actually stumped myself several times despite having beat the game years ago. A lot of stuff isn't as easily found out because you really gotta focus on certain things. I'm told case 3 has the hardest testimony to crack. Again, its been years though.

I'm just saying it's weird that they kept hers of a people to keep so close to the Japanese/Fan version considering it sounds like one that they would definitely change.

I did a little digging through the game files, and apparently at some point they intended to include a track called "Rhoda Teneiro - As a Professional Flight Attendant" in the music collection, but I don't see any music that would match. I'm guessing it was just renamed to something else from that case.

Her Japanese name is literally the English words "Delish Scone" transliterated to katakana.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's not so much hard but an objection to what amounts to phrasing. I remember being annoyed when I replayed it like a year ago, but have no memory of the specific testimony.

AAI had some weird weeb non-translations going on. Like the whole "Yatagarasu" shit. They say it so many times it just becomes gibberish to my eyes at some point.

Testimony-wise, you might have an issue or two with the evidence you pick not being the correct one (i.e. "oh you've already figured out and are ahead of everyone else, that means you're wrong because...")

You're biggest soul-drainer will be the final case. That fucking old bastard will NOT GO DOWN EASILY.

I feel like nowadays there are more and more lazy translations/localizations from zoomer translators who cannot be assed to actually do their job and translate properly. I've been a fantl for years now and even I wouldn't leave weeb words in the text.

Which bgm are you guys using, arranged or the original?
