Yeah they really redeemed Apollo, or so I heard.

And Athena exists.

The title "Dual Destinies" refers to Athena and Blackquill. "Apollo Justice" wasn't about Apollo, either. It was named after him and he's the player character, but that is Phoenix Wright's story.

SoJ is a serious improvement in almost every department. Every case has been a blast so far [currently going through case 5. I know nothing about the game, I went into this one pretty blind] but I can't say anything about the game's story as a whole yet since I'm still not finished.
I always assumed Dual Destinies alluded to Phoenix and Blackquill, as their redemptions are key to ending the Dark Age of Law, which began when Phoenix was disbarred and Blackquill was put on Death Row.

Been having a blast with SOJ. Is it just me or did they make the game harder than DD?

Im getting more game overs than I ever did In DD

Didn't realize it was out. Still no physical release this time?

No, sadly.

I finished it a few hours ago and I don't really know how to feel about it still. I didn't imagine my opinion would change so wildly over the course of one case, but it sure as hell did.

I'm guessing it was the last one.

Yeah, last time I came in here praising the game I was at the beginning of the last case.

Just finished the game a few hours ago and it was pretty damn good, It was defiantly a lot longer than i expected, but don't regret my money spent. Can't wait for the Turnabout Across Time DLC.

I finally finished SoJ. It was really good. They really should've split Case 3 in two though.
We're not even getting the first one are we? Guess it was too Japanese for the translators.
Well I dunno, most of SoJ was pretty Japanese too and they made it work

Wow, everyone finished so quickly. I've been playing in chunks and I'm sure I'm close to finishing the first day on case 2. I do have to say that Nahyuta is quite pretty.

I really want to get that new Ace Attorney game but since I can't get a physical copy, I am going to get it on sale of under $20 one of these days.

I got my copy online and downloaded it there. I finished the main game and the two Asinine Attorney mini-games this week and I just started the extra case. I'll be really interested in seeing where any of the future games will go.

  • I'm guessing the person who talks with Phoenix after the credits is Thalassa Gramarye.
  • Phoenix did mention that he got some case info from a loyal source and the Edgeworth mentioning that he should remind himself to "dock his pay". I hope this means we'll be seeing Gumshoe again (he was one of my favorite characters). If so, does he have a new detective job, is he now a personal assistant or what would be funny (and probably not likely) is if he went and became a lawyer or is in the midst of training to become one? You gotta admit, the last one would be funny.
  • I'm really interested in seeing what Apollo's new law office will be like. Will he be taking a new lawyer under his wing? Who will play his assistant when he goes on cases?

I'm getting close to finishing the DLC case and does anyone else think that Larry is getting more and more unlikable as the series goes on? I agree with TV Tropes when they said his character got Flanderized, because he started out as a decent guy despite being a bit immature and emotional. Then he became woman-crazy and obsessive and more self-absorbed with no one liking him.

Other than that, I heard that there might be another DLC with Gumshoe in it. Speaking of him, when my future ex-fiance was playing the first PW game, he honestly thought Gumshoe was gay. ("He's all about the cock." as he put it.) Then after playing the second game, he changed his opinion to him being bisexual ("He likes the vag, but if a guy wanted to jizz in his mouth, he'd let him.") And my ex-fiance didn't even like man-smut.

Twords the end of Miles Edgeworth Investigates 2, and shiit.

No wonder Sebastian DeBest is as fucked up as he is, motherfucker even gets kidnapped by his own father by mistake, and his dad doesn't even care other than the part where he didn't kidnap the right guy. And in that same week finds out every accomplishment of his entire life was a lie because his dad threw his weight around to get him valedictorian and shit without any skill. Glad to see him man the fuck up and stop being a retard. Now we just have to figure out who killed the President.

Also what is going on in this game. Nobody has parents in all the other games because they died by tragic backstory, and now everybody has parents this game? Greg is there in a flashback, Lang's dad presumably died only of old age, Sebastian has a dad who is a cunt, and Courtney was a goddamn teen mother at 13 and had that movie star kid???? This is AA, everyone's parents are supposed to die in a tragic backstory!

My GF also got super fucking mad I managed to guess that Dahlia was a Fey during the Pheonix is accused of murder case back in Trials and Tribulations.
