I agree, the DLC case was a lot of fun and I liked how...
There really wasn't a murder, just an accident. For a while I thought Dr. Krab was the killer, but I did feel sorry for Marlon at the end. All it needed was an end cinematic with the new and improved stage show with Marlon's rapping.
 
Definitely one of my favorite series. I gotta get around to finishing Phoenix vs. Layton and eventually play AAI2, but I'm stoked for AA6. Hopefully we'll get DGS in some form, like AAI2.

I don't think I ever played the DLC of Dual Destinies though... I really ought to do that. I know DD got shit on quite a bit but I thought it was pretty awesome.

Severely lacking in Gumshoe, though, obviously.
 
AA5 seemed very detached from previous games. We got Edgeworth and short appearances from Pearl and Gavin, but that was pretty much it. I think the Investigations games actually did a better job of being tied with the rest of the series.
 
PSA to everyone who hasn't played Investigations 2: Play it. You will not be disappointed. If you didn't like the first one, it's a million times better. If you did like the first one, it's still a million times better.
 
People we need to give DGS some love. It's an incredible game with the best music in the entire series.

I never played the Edgeworth games, but I'd definitely love to some day.

Edgeworth is my favorite character so I'm naturally biased, but there's a lot I like about the Edgeworth games. The second one is definitely better than the first, but there's a lot of important set-up and character-building to be had in the first game as it relates to the second so it's definitely worth playing that before the second one, even though it's not as good.

What's your favorite game of the ones you have played?

Definitely Apollo Justice. All the mechanics were tight, the cases were fairly lengthy and interesting. The soundtrack is also, of course, amazing. Everything about it was great. I also liked how it kept me guessing a lot, both in the case storylines but also the over-arching storyline.

That's cool. I remember seeing this really good Ron DeLite cosplay, but that years ago so I don't have pic of it.

that sucks, i would love to see a picture of a Ron cosplay. He's precious.

Anyway so I don't think I mentioned this, over Thanksgiving my family went to go see my cousins in Pittsburgh. While there I basically gave my 3DS to my 12-year-old cousin, turned on the AA trilogy download, and said "go nuts" because I've known for years that she'd love it. The result was that i didn't get my 3DS back the whole trip. I bought her AA1 for Christmas (and a $25 Gamestop gift card) and as far as I can tell she is having a great time with it.

before anyone says "i'm corrupting her too young!" i was 13 when i first got aa1
 
You know what's funny, when my now-fiance played the first game, he honestly thought Gumshoe was gay. (Or as he put it, "he's all about the cock".) Then he played the second one and changed his opinion to bisexual. (As in, "He likes the vag, but if a guy wanted to jizz in his mouth, he'd let him.")
