Top five of his Game Dungeons.
I think my favorite of his is Hellgate London because the game is just so fucking bad.
Deus Ex trilogy has to be the best videos on youtube about the franchise. It's a shame Ross never covered the fourth one, altho from what I heard it wasn't very good or deep either, hell I think it wasn't even finished.

My favorite is probably either Maabus, The Black Mirror, or Clans.
Clans is the comfiest. I feel like whenever I watch it, all of my problemsroblemsroblemsroblemsroblemsroblems

His Trackmania one was great. That whole imaginary lore dump segment on what Trackmania actually is/could be is just peak Ross.

I wonder if there is more to that rabbithole with downgraded graphics. I doubt this is the only time it happened, especially if few noticed the change.

The ones I come back to the most are baldies and the legend of kyrandia 2. I prefer when he is talking about obscure or semi obscure games more than the avgn style reviews.

Super Cult Tycoon, while old and not perfect, has that great balance of silly and serious tangents that became the hallmark of later Game Dungeons. Super Cult Tycoon crawled so Deus Ex could run, etc etc.

For me, his review of Baldies is the most comfy video he made, but I have a soft spot for old 2D RTS games. I'm still waiting for the follow-up episode on how he beat that stupid-hard Egyptian level

Clans is also super comfy, seeing as how Ross screwed himself by refusing to use a sword.
That game is also a good example of how shit old school RPG could be.

Now things are finally beginning to make sense.
the admiral.webp You know you can catch me admiralposting in the comments of every new dungeon.

More later.

I do quite like that he doesn't really do game dungeons on popular games unless he has something to say on it.

My top 5 are
5. Outrun Clones
4. Deus Ex
3. Baldies
2. Trickstyle
1. The Crew

Honorable mentions:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution for Lemonblast.
Requital for Remain Silent.
Fahrenheit for David cage on a leash.
Hinterland for World's Best Mayor.

Was pretty hard to choose the best ones ngl. Rarely can a creator keep it up for 11 years much less have such consistant quality that the top ones are even across the timeline.

I wish Ross would release a proper Freeman's Mind/Game Dungeon video once in a while. I will be glad when this whole SKG arc ends, it's ridiculous he is the one who has to advocate for this instead of governments actually doing their damn jobs.
In the last videochat he said that he's just waiting for the ECI to end to go back to normal, after that he'll probably have new viewers so he's gonna release a Freeman's mind episode, then a Game Dungeon so they see what his channel is about, and then he'd release the Follow-up episode after those

See you in 2027 for Freeman's mind chat!!

I couldn't decide on a favourite Game Dungeon like a parent couldn't decide on a favourite child. They're all worthy of archiving, even the most boring games. However i have to admit that, The Black Mirror, Dungeon Siege, and Martian Gothic have a special place in my heart. Slow and comfy yet not too boring. Good length, and a good 90-00 era adventure.
Sometimes if i couldn't sleep, or woke up early in the morning of a Sunday/Monday (ah free time, the only good thing of unemployment). I would make some fries, a hot drink and rewatch them. While having my now gone cat sleeping on my lap. Good times...

Marathoning Game Dungeon's must be why i have a fond memory of the 2020 lockdown. Speaking of which, i miss gory, first person driving games, like Quarantine. I still prefer Carmageddon 1 over it's sequels because of how good the gore and cockpit sprites were.
Also is there a more Ross game than Armed and Delirious? If i were to introduce someone to the series i know i would use that one

I'm also surprised nobody said that one was their favorite episode. Granted, it's more Ross reacting to insanity than going on funny/serious tangents, I would argue that might be his most important episode if we're measuring by his "old/weird games nobody talks about" metric.

It's also got one of like .... I think maybe 2 or 3 times ever in the series that he does a reaction of his face in the video.

That game was a remarkable experience. I still get I Love To Make Balloons in my head from time to time.

Also love this line RE: the music...

The best song from that game, and probably one of the greatest songs of all-time, which me and my family quote more often than we'd like to admit, is that bizarre mumble blues thing:

You know it's good when a completely random major YouTuber, OneyPlays (Chris O'Neill) mentions and starts singing that song (most likely after watching Ross's video). The comments on that video are great because it's OneyPlays AND Ross Scott fans (and as somebody who likes both, it's just fun):

y'know what I'm gonna download the OST right now. Might actually put some of these into my regular playlist. Never really occurred to me before.
