My concern would be whether or not she has the sense to do something like that. She definitely could, claims like this ruin lives (despite her life already being uhm... a dumpster fire?) and considering she already has a lot of issues mentally, that just adds to her case. Her parents could definitely afford a decent lawyer for her, despite the case being pretty open and shut. I'm just not sure she has the mental capacity to actually follow through on any of that.

I assume Abby’s parents know of her internet fame considering her mother would reply to comments on her daughters facebook.. is there a possibility they check this thread and would see these pedo claims? Abby might not see the fact that she could do something about this, but her rich able-to-afford-a-good-lawyer parents would.

To sue for defamation at least one, but usually both, parties need lots of money. You have to pay a lawyer to file a suit but what’s the point if the troll you are suing is a typical cringe poster like Grover? You going to pay $15k to your lawyer to win a Ford Focus that doesn’t run, a PS3, and some bags of dirty clothes?
The lady suing Katie Joy has money, or her husbands mom has plenty of money. Katie’s yammering was hurting her scammy marketing ploy which she can argue is concrete financial damages from the defamation. The legal fees did buy them lots of drama and attention. Katie Joy at least probably owns a home with her husband so Tati could at least take something valuable just to make KJ suffer - which is the entire point of lawsuit. It’s usually not about recouping lost money due to defamation, it’s about turning the screws on that bitch that she hates. (This tends to be true of most defamation cases - spending lots of money just to prove a point or dick swinging)
But again if the person doing the defaming is some broke ass SSI dangerhair sped (like 99% of Abby’s FB group haters are) then it’s absolutely pointless. Blood from a stone, yadda yadda.
I truly think Abby makes her FB group members insanely jealous. She is just like them in most respects - but she’s not living in a wrecked HUD house with a few kids and a gross boyfriend that’s a meth head and fry cook at KFC.
What would her parents paying a lawyer to hunt down some lying troll accomplish? It would cost them thousands..for what? If it’s Lady GaGa trolling Abby, sure, go for it, but we know it’s a sped that works part time at hot topic.
Nobody will even remember this shit two weeks from now.

All that shit about extracting metadata with python into hex and using a hex reader is bullshit. Theres plenty of free tools and websites that will read it. Not saying the screen shots are real, just occams razor suggests somebody texts their friend back and forth and claims its abby.

I agree with most of your post and I think Abby's parents won't sue - but if they did sue, I think it would actually accomplish quite a lot - all the people in the Facebook groups would cut that shit in a heartbeat - they are cowards and they like to make fun of Abby because she's an easy target, if they thought there could be consequences of their actions and they could be next, they'd drop it faster than Abby drops her phases.

ETA: In order to (successfully) sue for defamation, you need to prove that there was legitimate, quantifiable harm. This harm results in damages. There are economic damages and non-economic damages. Regarding the former, an example would be if Abby lost her job over these pedophile claims. If that were the case, she could probably sue and win. The wages she lost due to being fired would be considered damages. If she lost brand deals/sponsorships due to false allegations, those would be considered while calculating damages as well. The defendant would then be required to pay Abby to compensate for those damages.
Non-economic damages are things like emotional anguish or a significantly tarnished reputation. So if Abby's lawyer could prove that she experienced legitimate mental anguish or ruining of her reputation over false allegations of being a pedophile, she could also be compensated for those non-economic damages.
However... I really don't think there's enough money on the line to make suing worth it. These screen caps are fake and gay, though. Obligatory IANAL but my spouse is and I asked him. Sorry if any legal phrasing is off.

I think Abby has a lot of problems but I don't think pedophilia is one of them. If any actual proof comes out feel free to make fun of me, but I just can't believe unverifiable screenshots from someone who obviously has a vendetta against Abby.
I wonder if the fb mods are DFE because they have related skeletons in their own closets. Fake shit has come out about Abby so many times and they haven't nuked everything because of it. Seems fucking shady to me.

Fake texts show up all the time online. Abby claims that someone previously sent fake texts to an employer, so if that's true, it's probably the same person. We know Abby is into some of the little girl roleplay shit, but an actual Pedo? I'm not buying it.
