Fast food was cheaper than groceries. Clearly you haven’t been in that position before so good on you, I hope you never have to deal with money hardships❤ Shit sucks bro
Fast food is not cheaper than groceries, you math deficient idiot.
I spent $110 on 2 weeks worth of food the other week at the grocery store. (Enough shit to make tacos, mac n cheese, a whole chicken pot pie, cold cuts for sandwiches, and home made brownies)
Thats less than $8 a day, which is already less than shit you can get at a value menu.
Learn how to shop and read sale prices. It's not hard.
Edit: Since you brought up burgers as a price point, lets do some shopping at target. I'll base what's used on the burger from mcdonalds quarter lb burgers
2 lbs ground beef= 7.99 (this will yeild us 8 quarter lb burgers)
Store brand humber buns = 1.39
Store brand american singles = 1.39 (this is twice as much as what we need, so lets actually half that to 70 cents)
One yellow onion .99 (You will not use the whole tihng at all)
A JAR of store brand pickles = 1.69 (you only need 2 per burger if were going by mcdonalds recipie)
a 20oz bottle of store brand ketchup =.89
a 14 oz bottle of mustard = .75
this shopping trip cost us 14.40 or 15.10 for the whole price of the cheese
dividing the 14.40 by 8 yields 1.80 per quarter lb burger with the fixings (Since its food from a grocery store, there's no tax)
a quarter pounder with cheese from mcdonalds is 3.79 PLUS TAX
That is more than double the price. and you will still have the extra pickles, onion, ketchup, and mustard left over for other meals and recipes.
