A Question About Video Editing

What do you think is the best free video editor? I've got Openshot but have been experiencing some bugs and want to give something else a try. Thanks

Kdenlive. It's not buggy for me, and I consider it a huge upgrade from the cracked sony vegas I was using for years.

Davinci Resolve has a free version that's pretty good.

I pirate all my movie editing software, so I can't provide any insight on FOSS alternatives.

If you don't want to pirate, I would echo the free version of Davinci Resolve - unless you need to color grade 10+bit video in exotic codecs (unlikely if you're asking this question), the free version will usually provide you with the tools you need.

Most importantly imo, using it will teach you to work in a piece of software that is widely used in the video editing field - meaning that if you ever come to a point where videography becomes a hobby you really want to get into, you can just adapt your existing workflow to more advanced footage instead of having to switch software.

Davinci Resolve is great. The free version can do pretty much anything you may need.
