There is a difference to the children on roblox and tiktok. The people who com target to get them to join are almost always in very vulnerable situations. They go after children (Who presumably have parents that don't care enough about them to monitor their screen time), and they go after girls who post on eating disorder and self harm twitter. These people just want to feel like they're a part of something bigger than themselves, and something that has cool edgy sigma aura points. I'd doubt that these kids would flock to com if they realized 'Oh, it's not a ACCELERATION ATOMWAFFEN RUSSIAN SECRET SOCIETY, it's a pedophile ring filled with third worlders and 13 year olds who buy rare usernames'. The same even goes for the more ideologically tinged groups like NLM and MKU, these people aren't evil sinister niner neo nazis either, they're just antisocial youths who get off on killing animals and old women. The weak target those who are weaker than them, but weak people join these groups because they think that they will become strong. This older post basically explains it.I won’t keep spamming this thread with the same point but how do you not realize there is absolutely no meaningful difference between those two things?
I’m not trying to be obtuse because I get what you guys are trying to say overall. I agree that kids who are being victimized definitely need to know that they shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help because these freaks don’t actually have the power over them that they claim to.
The problem I have with your argument is that I really don’t see how telling victims “don’t worry about the sadistic pedophile threatening you and your family because he’s not actually a real Aryan ubermensch” is going to do anything to make them feel less alone and isolated? It’s just so retarded.
