90% percent of things like that are from over a decade ago. Back when Moot was in change.
 
The normal users get punished because the jannies are at war with the ban evaders. The /g/ pedophiles set up multiple sites that just mirror 4chan and allow post-through so anyone can just instantly ban evade with residential proxies. Their site has built in tools to embed porn, both legal and illegal in normal images and allows users to communicate with other users of the proxies in secret in innocuous threads. It's fucked.

yeah because now for that story to be somewhat believable it would read something like this

I made about 4 attempts. I questioned myself the first time, I gave it the benefit of the doubt the second time, I decided something was wrong the third time, and the fourth time was just to be sure.

But... I mean. What if?
 
it's getting really insane how quickly mods will hit you with a 3-day over the faintest whiff of a pajeet joke, meanwhile they're just as sluggish as ever in cleaning up 'p and other garbage. feels like even 6 months ago they weren't nearly as trigger happy about it as they are now.

They've been this trigger happy for years. I remember back in 2022/3 I was getting two week site bans for the most benign posts you could make on /v/.
