But they did update the OS and the PHP version, didn't they? Plus some possible (very likely) code updates on the backend.

I disagree on the critical aspect of speed. Retention matters, even 2 weeks is HUGE. What you're right about is how much of a toll it is since the source code is leaked now and bad actors are bound to be galvanized and motivated. If they didn't conduct a proper security audit of their source code, at the very least an automated one since LLMs do this pretty well nowadays, they're fools. I hope it doesn't go down a second time, because if it does then it'll start to be hard to get people's trust.

do you seriously think putting your codebase into an LMM is going to solve anything? the people who are trying to find attack vectors are going to plug it into an LMM to find low hanging fruit. it's just going to spit the same things out in reverse
