Moot is living the high life now. He worked as a higher-up manager for Google but quit this year.
I knew he was at google but not a manager, and of what? that company abandoned any attempts at getting a social network going long ago, and they are shitting up youtube which its the closest thing to a community they got.

And whats moot gonna do now? beg for more VC bucks for another failed idea like canvas?

He was product manager for google maps for a bit. And idk he's probably going to shuffle around between tech companies getting a cushy salary for doing fuckall like most tech managers.

Gmaps? why? what for? 4chan wasnt a tech wonder either, why employ him? that job had to be a cover for something else specially since how the hell you hire the creator of the "internet hate machine" in today's absurdly woke corporate environment of the bay area?

I think he was originally hired for some of Google's perpetual failed products and then shuffled around for a while. Seriously look at some of the idiots they currently have there, someone decided it was worth a gamble and then he left suspiciously close to five years when options vest.

I only just found out /qa/ got deleted due to a war on trannies. Can I get a quick rundown on the events? I always assumed it was just a shitposting board similar to /s4s/

They would raid other boards for fun basically. It was allowed until they raided /lgbt/.
Allowed is probably a stretch, it's plainly against the rules, but what can they do when they just reset their routers? To me, it seems like the board was forgotten and forsaken to soyposters, with that last /lgbt/ raid probably pissing off some tranny mod and someone pressured someone else into getting rid of it.
Or it was scheduled for deletion anyway, and they simply were waiting for enough excuses.

Either way, nothing of value was lost.

They got away with it for a long time.
Literally years. And it wasn't even a legitimate board in the first place, moot used to open it occasionally for some specific Q&A. The last time he just left it open, mostly unmoderated. It also mostly raided itself, with dumb shitposting wars between soyjak posters, chibi posters, frog posters, trannies, anti-trannies, Lee-baiters, etc.

Somehow nobody gave a shit when you repeatedly raided /pol/ though. You know who really owns a place when you can't shitpost on their board at all.

Some anon on /pol/ found out about how Get Woke, Go Broke is used in corporations on a deeper level

Stop pretending /qa/ is bunkerchan.

He's also trying to buy a majority of owner-occupied housing properties in the US, through foreclosures or outbidding normal people. Wait until you need a personal ESG to rent property in the US.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=C7t97jxMSBwDunno if this is the right place for this but I just watched this 4chan "documentary" and it was quite interesting. Maybe a little too dramatic but generally well done for the normies who might come across it on youtube. The biggest problem I think with it is that it talks about what 4chan used to be, and not what 4channel™ probably is now. Have you guys seen it? Do you think it's based or cringe?

that's the secret every board is a coomer board
feels like its made in 2016 rather than 2021. I also never liked these kind of videos, they are as gay as those media exposés about evil hackers known as 4chan.

Both are deadset on hyping 4chan as a hub of the disenfranchised working towards an ultimate goal instead of just a disconnected bunch of randos who sometimes come together spontaneously to do things because its funny. The influx of new users that see 4chan as a movement that they join by agendaposting really took a toll on the site
