When you really give him a hard time about this, I guess the only thing you would achieve is to make Chris stop telling you things about his soul vagina. He'd still be an idiot hellbent on ruining his own health, however he wouldn't tell you the next big idea of his.

So in short: There is no way to contact Barb that would make her listen and there is no way to talk to Chris and make him understand.

As much as I hate to say it: He is going to have to deal with this alone since he won't let anyone help him.

Barb has trained Chris/brought him up to be helpless and dependent on her.
Chris is mentally deficient to some degree, but the way he was raised was all wrong.

When Bob and Barb got Chris on his :tugboat: they never intended for it to help Chris be independent or move out on his own. It was just another source of income for the household to help them get by. Remember, Bob and Barb took $450 a month for room and board starting out, never encouraged him to move out on his own, and pretty much let Chris waste whatever :tugboat: money was leftover.

As for why they didn't make Chris get a job, either they thought he just wasn't competent enough to hold steady work, or Chris was resistant enough to the idea of working to where Bob/Barb gave up and were content to take their share of Chris's tugboat every month.

This is part of my problem as well (and the reason why I don't refer to Chris in the feminine). If he wants to be accepted as a woman, there are a lot of other, easier (and cheaper) options that are available to him. As others have said, getting rid of that 5 o'clock shadow (and practicing better skin care in general) and washing his hair (although, at this point, a decent wig would be a far better option) would be a good place to start. He's never going to get close enough to anyone to show them his un-clit as long as his appearance is so off-putting.

Man, you got my feels on this one. Thetan too. Sorry you both have the distinction of being so keenly frustrated by all this and if you need someone to vent to, my ear or shoulder is always open. Kiwi love, brother.

If Chrissy had advertised her eBay activities as the means to fund a taint piercing, I'm genuinely not sure that the outcome would have been different. I love the kiwis, but there are still weens, man. For every person genuinely concerned about Chrissy doing stupid shit like this, there's one who wants a medallion and to see him crash and burn for the lulz.

Also, life threatening infections take time. As unhealthy as Chrissy may be, he doesn't have diabetes or any documented vascular problems (although that tolerance to pain, man) and being part or the trunk, I imagine the genital area actually has pretty good circulation. I'm no OR RN, but our practice deals heavily with infections that are limb and possibly life threatening on a damn near daily basis and three doctors skilled in advanced wound care.

I'm disappointed in Chrissy but neither shocked nor surprised. That piercing will either stay in with tougher scar tissue keeping it there or reject/migrate until he gives up and does something else. He can only argue with his body so much, yanno?

This is one of the reasons I'm staying away. Chris has already formed an emotional attachment to Renee: with absolutely NO encouragement or prompting (that "I love you" said it all). Renee never presented herself as anything more than a girlfriend in the gal pal sense (she never referred to herself as a "girlfriend" btw) .

I have no desire to string Chris along and feed his false hope. I'm afraid that he'll use anything I say as some sort of validation of our "relationship". I really don't want to go there.
 
Renee was sex-positive. Maybe that just translates to "Slut without standards" to Chris and so he thinks he can make her a sweetheart in his harem of fail alongside Flufflehugs and Catherine.
Also Chris is so starved for social interaction, any positive conversation he has with a female being will lead to him jumping the gun and coming to the conlusion that a) he loves her and b) she must also be interested in him, since she's soooo nice.

Seriously though, all those things require effort. Taking care of wig would be too much work for him, and he's already demonstrated that keeping his soul-clit piercing clean is more than he can handle. I'm sure he does believe that telling people that nonsense about him being a "lesbian-souled tranny" is enough for people to take him seriously as transgendered. So things like hygiene and accessories (other than the soul-clit) aren't really needed. Clearly.

But when has Chris NOT taken the path of least resistance? It's just the latest progression of the attraction sign.

Here's the latest.

According to Catherine, the person who performed the piercing suggested gold jewelry because it was more hypoallergenic (rather than do the responsible/ethical thing and talk Chris out of this insanity *sigh*). Catherine has been trying to talk him into removing it, but she's not getting anywhere (at least not yet).

It sounds like she's winding down her involvement with Chris and, like me, has no interest in stringing him along. Still, she doesn't want to see him die of sepsis over his stupidity.

I think you are kind of in the same frame of mind as me when it comes to Chris and his gender identity. I won't refer to Chris in the feminine because all of this feels less like someone exploring their gender and more like someone exploring their fetishes. Look at his emails with Fluffle or prior contact with you - it's less about wanting to understand what it means to be a woman and more about what can he do to bang a woman with his current sexual interests. This is just the Love Quest all over again but with a different coat of paint.

Chris tends to be very deluded about his looks, and indeed those around him, as we know from countless sagas and sweethearts. When forced, he can maybe just about admit that he's not the muscular 18-year-old stud he portrays in the comics. Maybe I'm giving the 'tism too much credit, but I wonder if he knows what constitutes "feminine-looking?" Like, does he notice anything about the female body shape other than breasts?

What I'm getting at is, maybe due to his perception issues, maybe Chris genuinely does think he looks perfectly feminine and therefore has no need of wigs, corsetry or skincare. The piercing, on the other hand, is something that, by his demented logic, "fixes" the one masculine aspect of him that he can't easily remove, namely his meat-and-two-veg.

The piercer either has absolutely no fucks to give or is a brilliant troll. Or just a savvy businessman, take your pick.

And I'm not surprising he's unwilling to let this go, even with input from Catherine. Right from the beginning, one of the biggest issues Chris has is his inability to let something go. It's at the root of a lot of his problems, hell it's the reason he's got an entire forum devoted to him. I'm certainly not surprised his inability to let this go is threatening to prove lethal.

Incidentally, how did Catherine say she heard about this? Did she get told too, or do Catherine and Renee know each other?

Anyone remember that sex toy designer from Se7en, the one who produced a strap-on knife/dildo thing for the bad guy? The two detectives were all like "What the fuck, man?!" when he showed them a picture of it, and he just shrugged and said that he'd made weirder stuff before. In my experience, most piercing and tattoo artists are like that; no matter how bizarre your request is, chances are it won't even faze them because they've done something stranger before, and they probably won't turn down any job provided it doesn't directly kill or cripple the customer.
