Three people are believed to have been stabbed to death in a stairwell to a hotel in Glasgow city centre.

It is understood that a suspect was shot dead by police.

The Scottish Police Federation have confirmed a police officer was stabbed. Armed police remain at the scene outside the Park Inn in West George Street.

A statement from Police Scotland said the situation was "contained" and there was no danger to the general public.

Scottish Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf tweeted that the government was being briefed on the situation.

Police Scotland Assistant Chief Constable Steve Johnson urged people to avoid the area.

He said: "Armed police officers attended the incident and I can confirm that a male suspect was shot by an armed officer.

"I would like to reassure the public that at this time we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.

"I can also confirm that a police officer was injured while dealing with the incident and that officer is receiving treatment in hospital."

Witness Craig Milroy, who saw the aftermath of the incident from an office building nearby, said he had seen four people taken away in ambulances.

He told the PA news agency: "I saw a man lying on the ground, of African descent, with no shoes on. He was on the ground with someone holding his side - I don't know if it was a bullet wound, a stab wound, or what it was."

Mr Milroy said the man was one of the four taken away by medics and believed him to be a victim of an attack.

He added: "After that we saw commotion, ambulances further up and we saw armed police all running into the hotel next to the Society Room.

"We were still standing outside, after that the police all came down, the riot police and triage team told us to go back in and lock the door."

Looks like even Jockistan is loosening the lockdown!

The Guardian understands that the Park Inn hotel was one of a number of hotels used to house asylum seekers during the coronavirus pandemic.
Wouldn't surprise me the suspect was an asylum seeker. Possibly a terrorist attack but could be gang related. Wouldn't surprise me either way.

Almost certainly not gang related,black/african people in Glasgow were almost non existant until around 10 years ago,the influx has mostly been somalis and some nigerians they havnt really got a foothold on the gang culture from what i have seen.

Either terrorist wankery/drug fueled maddness or just bog standard cultural enrichment savagery

NGL kinda suprisngly something dumb like this hasnt happend till now up here, during the lockdown i had the pleasure of having to go directly into the city centre twice, the only people on the streets in the heart of the city were all the junkies and homeless people, last time i was there during the day they was a group of around 20 of them all just hanging about outside the central train station getting drunk and doing drugs without a care in the world :stress:

No race? Then it was definitely one of Allah's children. This is what happens when your globalist government decides to replace you with antithetical Muslims.

no 'your average glaswegian' in the poll OP?
Isn't Glasgow a real shithole?
it is, but compared its better than dundee and its not edinburgh, bigger than inverness so naturally most people flock to it for work, money etc. oh and of course drugs, fuck ton of drugs. on thing that will always make me smile about glasgow was this fella.

"At this time, we do not know the motive of Muhammad abu-Nutsack".

Lots of pearl clutching in the open and on Twitter but I texted a friend and he immediately replied, "that's just a Friday night in Glasgow".

Twitter is awash with "don't make racist assumptions" which of course means it was angry Muslims. Who will no doubt have some mental health issues, loan wolf etc etc. Very tiresome.

That's what I've heard about Glasgow. How would you tell the difference between a muslim practicing jihad, vs a muslim embracing Glaswegian cultural norms?

Round 2:

A man has reportedly been stabbed in Glasgow, with a witness saying he heard "loud screaming".

Police were called to the heart of the Scottish city, two days after six people were injured in a frenzied knife atack.

A witness told the Glasgow Times he heard "loads of screaming" before seeing a man on the ground covered in blood.

He said: "Literally just happened, was loads of screaming and guy is on the ground with blood all over him.

"Looked like the guy came out of the Premier Inn hotel."

Mirror Online has contacted Police Scotland.

The latest incident happened in Argyle Street, which has been cordoned off.

Five police cars, an ambulance and paramedics are currently on the scene, Glasgow Live reports.

The ‘Glasgow stabbings’ thread will be as lively as the Florida Man thread.

You missed this one: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/daylight-stabbing-glasgows-st-enoch-22251797

Thanks to lockdown, the only folk roaming the streets are the homeless, junkies, homeless alkies and the severely mentally ill so the chances of random daytime assault are right up
seems like the junkies are starting to break down with not being able to get their fix.

I missed this thread and posted in the british news one, but it turns out nobody was killed except the nutter, and as you all predicted it was just some asylum seeker who had been acting funny. He stabbed the people in the hotel reception then ran up to his room to hide, so I think that tells us all we need to know about his mental state at the time.

And yeah, Glasgow city centre is much better than it was even 10 years ago, it's properly lit for a start, but it's still a dump. When the lockdown ends it's going to be carnage.

This idea to turn the whole of St Enoch Square into a beer garden is fucking mental. The last fucking place I want to hang about drinking after sundown is St Enoch Square.

The record will be loving it. They'll get a week at least out of the SHOCKING SCENES.

When there's a mass of violence and sexual assaults you just know how "disappointed" the muppets on the council will be at the totally unpredictable results of their plans. St Enoch Square is going to be awful. Every big pub will be nuts, but let's face it- it's Dows and the Alpen Lodge where the real chaos will be! Seriously though imagine bevvying into the night in St Enoch Square then walking up to the taxi rank behind Central Station. That'll be a laugh.
