I recently picked up the IGS collection while in Hong Kong.
It's a collection of lesser known beatemups from Asia in the style of the Capcom Belt Action collection.

It includes:

- Knights of Valour: Superheroes
- Knights of Valour Plus
- Knights of Valour 2 – Nine Dragons
- Oriental Legend
- Oriental Legend: Spooky
- Martial Masters
- Demon Front
- The Gladiator

It's a fun collection if you like this style of game.

Some people are complaining because you can't change the aspect ratio to 4:3 from 16:9 but I don't find it that big a deal.

The collection is a bit bare bones to be fair (in terms of presentation) but it was nice to have some games that don't generally see a wider release.

God I fucking hate Wayforward. All they do is release mid slop for ironic weebs. It wouldn't be terrible if they didn't insist on YouTube "voice actors" and songs with cringe lyrics, but they do. The fact that anyone takes Egoraptor seriously as a VA is fucking astounding and shows how bad it really is in the Western VA industry.

I have Streets of Rage 4 but otherwise I'm not very familiar with newer 2D beat 'em ups. I've always had a soft spot for Tecmo Knight. It's not the greatest beat 'em up but it was very strange and gory at the time so I played it a lot in the arcades.

Tecmo Knight is pretty good imo. It's a lot like the arcade Ninja Gaiden, which is better-known.

> play on japanese
> the Humor mostly comes from deadpan delivery and characters acting off each other. Only a couple of characters scream.
> play on english

Why are there ZERO standards when americans Dub anything? All they do is play into shitty tropes that don't even come from the source material, but just pure ignorance. They don't even talk like humans. Why!?

And man, the nee double dragon looks weird. Some clips make combos look like great fun and others like a floaty mess. I kinda dig the Designs, but on the other hand, there seems to be zero "character" to anyone.

Marian and Ranzo will be playable on Double Dragon Revive:
So they seem to be going with Marian's River City Girls look. Not a big fan of it to be honest. Also, did she say in that trailer that she's an heir to the Sou Setsu Ken style like her father was? The fuck sort of retcon is this?

It will release on the same day of the Nightslashers remake:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=okmfs0ZUtrkThis is the month of slop.

All I ask is that there be one decent horror themed beat 'em up, and this is what I get. Though if the Night Slasher's remake is any indication, then I guess I'm grateful there'll never be a Musya remake.

  1. They hate the japanese.
  2. They cater to normalfags and internet culture
And for the record, american gamers hate american localizers. What makes it worse is that american localizers are all part of the same clique and networks that have been fucking up other media. And yes, some of them are even troons. The rot is deep.

It's baffling when you're from europe and know the quality of french, german and (surprisingly) polish dubs. You can tell they actually act, like, ACT their characters instead of going for cartoony shit.
