Oh trolls. The impression I got that it was criticism on par with the people weening him on youtube comments. Like the comments saying "you're not a woman and you'll never be one, you don't have a vagina". That's what it sounded like.

She's probably so completely zoned and out of it she doesn't know, and calls like that she'd ignore. You would think a mother would notice, though, when something's ailing their kid. The look on their face, or they walk differently, limping. Chris must be one of those people who can completely blot out physical pain, like a coal-walker. I'm still trying to work out how he could have even made that self-mutilation.

Maybe people who have struggled with 'cutting' might have insight on this?
