not much info yet but some kind of major police op in Germany. Rumors of a Gunman.

  • Munich central station and underground system is closed and has been evacuated. Motorists on the motorway into Munich have been asked to clear the road for police and emergency service vehicles.
  • Hospitals throughout Munich are on emergency alert and in “catastrophe mode”.
  • Police have said they could not confirm earlier reports of one or two other shootings elsewhere in the city, including in a large square known locally as Stachus.
What we don’t know:
  • No claim of responsibility has been made and there is no indication so far of the attackers’ motives.
  • It is not yet clear how many attackers opened fire or whether the shootings, described as a “rampage” by police, amounted to a coordinated or planned attack.

Just heard on CNN the guy at McDonalds was in the bathroom loading his gun and came out shouting Allah Ackbar and aiming for children.

So I guess that answers that question. Chalk another one up for the Religion of Peace

IWC is a loud and emotional peckerwood but he and most of us are typically right about who does these things.

I wouldn't say that, Police responded rather quickly, but raking through a mall to look for 3 people that might have just dropped their guns and merged in with civilians is pretty hard - especially when you don't really know who to look for.
Believe it or not, but Germany has done a lot about their response procedures after a couple of school shootings and are surprisingly well armed and trained (Most regular policecars are armed with an MP5 and cops regularly shoot with that gun)

An expert on ARD just called the idea of it being racists "possible but not at all likely". Though he does point out in order to actually confirm anything we need time, whether it was ISIS-related or not.

And oh god they can't speak english at all. And this is their fucking translator. Goddmanit CNN.

Edit: Lol CNN just cut to commercial over their translator tripping over basic english after only like 20 seconds.

I'm just imagining some booth person in the control room going wide-eyed as he sees this linguistic trainwreck unfolding infront of him and just screaming and hitting a button, any button, to make it stop.

And now they're pretending nothing happened.
 
It has to be noted that despite there being reports of multiple gunmen, so far the reports are of casualties are still in single figures. Compare that to the Nice attack which saw eighty five dead or the Paris attack which racked up one hundred and thirty. Or the thirty two people in Brussels.

Well, to be fair, betting on Muslims on any terrorist attack is like the "Lose" option on the Wheel of Fortune in Rocko's Modern Life...

I'm assuming CNN, as it was a dubbed feed over the video of the german spekaing press confrence.

Unless the german cop suddenly gained the power of ventriloquism and to speak as a woman,

Munich Police are reporting a 9th body, and suspect it may be one of the perpetrators.

Police confirmed they found a dead body at the Isar (ie: away from the mall)... the person had a head wound. Possibly a suspect.
Edit: Ninja'd by Strelok, but it's still news that the body was found at some distance from the mall.

CBS, just before switching to telling people that NY is dying of heat stroke yet again (Can confirm, 105F heat index), that one of the suspects likely escaped in the underground.

Going by the video with the crazy bavarian insulting the (supposed) shooter, he says he was born in Germany and I can reassure you his german is flawless. If he's a muslim, he's second generation and he's certainly not sounding like the generic turkish asshole.
