Does anybody know about or remember those women who claimed that they were victims of Jeffery Epstein and would compile their own "Epstein List" or something to that effect?
This happened back in July(?) so I'll take it that they were just bullshitting to get some type of media attention and wanted to make up some excuse to get donations later on.

I would say the higher up the food chain you go it would be literal, like I mean actual unironic demonic possession and/or alliance with Satan or some other demonic power masquerading as something else. Anyway, I can give you a literary example of this kind of "subtly wrong" art. In C.S. Lewis' That Hideous Strength, one of the main characters gets captured and taken into a place called the "Objective Room" in order to initiate him into the inner circle of the N.I.C.E. This organization literally worships demons but they don't recognize them as such, and one of their goals is to destroy and replace what is natural, beautiful and good with the grotesque, unnatural and evil as they are transhumanists who have learned to abhor Creation like their demon masters. The room contains various works of art that look normal at first, but have something subtly wrong with them like legs pointing in the wrong direction or a woman's mouth filled with hair. The character doesn't view anything like devils or satanic symbols, yet he could sense something deeply evil about what the art represented even though he wasn't a Christian.

Great links but I don't think the third one applies as it doesn't seem to deal with redactions specifically - the records exist and have been entered but redacting isn't technically the same as concealing I would argue (concealing would mean hiding the record to begin with)
