It really wasn't 33000 files, each page of a document is an individual image. So technically in a digital sense it's 33000 files but if they released it as pdf or word documents it'd be significantly less. They've stated they plan to release more so wanting and expecting more isn't unreasonable.
Also 97% of the files released were already public. Only 3% are new.

-Trump working with the FBI was already known, it was just unknown what the extent of the relationship was so him being an official informant is news
-The Epstein LIST being a hoax is what's being argued over, not the files. The files have been released like 4 times, there's just no List_of_conspirators.txt as of yet, which rightfully people were hoping for.
All of this isn't even inherently contradictory, half of it is speculation, and not to mention it was from like a hundred different people with limited info over the course of weeks/months. Which seems fairly normal for a forum, most people aren't all in lockstep with theories made from scraps of info gleaned from the internet.

No one is saying Trump is a "whitehat pedophile" because he was supposedly an informant. Being an informant to the FBI doesn't actually mean you're inherently an accomplice to the crime. Also consider that it's legally required for the prosecution to disclose to the defense that their source is being offered something in exchange for their testimony I.E. a reduced sentence or criminal immunity. The Epstein prosecutors and victims themselves having nothing but praise for Trump wouldn't make any sense if he was a co-rapist just saving his own ass from going down with his bestest buddy, they would've had to have known and disclosed that he was getting something in return for his cooperation in relation to his own criminal involvement if that's what he was doing, which I don't see reflected in anything any the people involved with the Epstein trial have said about the Orange guy during or since.

One of the theories is that the FBI was going to come down on him for some illicit property deals (I think with a Russian lol) and so he went informant to prevent them from coming down on him. Not really noble if you're only doing it to save your own skin years after knowing about it and doing nothing.

The Epstein stuff only got dragged out again a few years ago by a journalist attempting to use it to smear Trump. So it makes perfect sense for Trump to call it a hoax meant to smear him.
