Newsom is their best bet. He's a young(ish) obnoxious white man that's been taking notes about how identity politics have sunk the Democrats' popularity. He's been on record saying that trannies playing in womens' sports is "deeply unfair" and how ridiculous the term "latinx" is.

I don't think he's changed. I think his messaging has changed. He still defends that bill that aids child social transitioning by saying "It prevents the schools from firing someone for not notifying parents about change in pronouns" or whatever, but he's realized the public is not on the progressives' side and has adjusted his image accordingly. The dirt they have to sling at him involves wildfire response (an Act of God) and shameful behavior to which he openly admits (the French Laundry incident, the affair with his campaign manager's wife Ruby Rippey Tourk, etc). If you (or anyone reading) are hoping for a Republican victory in 2028, Gavin Newsom should be your primary concern. He didn't "ruin" California (we've been shit for a long time before his governorship), but he signs off on any blue-backed bill put on his desk by Scott Wiener and he has that record of being a normal man that passively accepts really bad shit.

Quite the opposite. From a DNC point of view he’s their best bet.

  • He’s superficially charming/normal appearing
  • Is capable of presenting himself as a moderate in the eye of normies
  • Suburban wine moms think he’s hot
Only pushback he’ll get is the hard core SJW’s who won’t be happy until they get someone like Ilhan Omar.

Vance comes off as a goober compared Newsom. Posting the same boot camp graduation photo doesn’t make most people change their minds. Dude was a POG and married into a culture even most liberals secretly find icky.

Epstein has brought me back into the joy of conspiracy theories and the like. Just watched a video by a channel named COOP detailing why they believe Jeffrey Epstein is actually still alive and very dangerous. It's kind of convincing and would explain a lot of the reaction among the President's administration. I think, if anything, we won't hear about Epstein until the end of presidential term. By that point, we'll probably be too focused on saying hello to intelligent Alien life forms that live in the ocean and underground. Heck, after President Vance we'll learn Earth is a giant spaceship in dormancy.

I'm with you guys on most stuff but he would be a bad pick. They do need a normal looking white guy but newsom is not it. Mainly, because he's the governor of *fucking* California and while being a smartass to trump is the correct course of action for any 2028 candidate it only makes him look more like a smarmy turd when he presides over a state that to most of america is super rich movie stars stepping over drug addicts stabbing each other to death.

Anyone with an IQ above 10 easily recognized that Epstein is clearly alive and kicking in tel Aviv, Israel. The media blowing up "Epstein didn't kill himself" was smokescreen for the actual conspiracy. Infact, this whole incident was likely planned 10 years in advance if we were to believe the narrative proposed by the video, which makes it even more horrifying when you consider Jeffrey Epstein was just 1 of many other Epsteins out there in the criminal world.
