That wasn't what was talked about. I responded to a comment saying that Trump's relationship with Epstein was mentioned repeatedly in his first run for president, but in fact it wasn't mentioned by anyone until Epstein was charged and later killed himself in the third year of Trump's presidency

Oh ffs, they were never “close friends”. That’s just plain bullshit.

They knew each other in the same way they knew every other rich or famous person in NYC and Palm Beach. They hung in the same circles.

As for “falling out” that one has been well documented over a decade ago. Epstein groped some teenage girl working at Mar A Lago, and Trump kicked him out.

Again: Bullshit. The Epstein story was well documented during Trumps run in 16.

It was mentioned numerous times in numerous outlets. The Clinton campaign even tried hiring a PI to dig up some dirt, but abandoned seriously using it in the campaign, since it was a dual edged sword. The Clinton connection with Epstein was always bigger than the Trump connection. Basically every time they could document that Trump had hung out with him, there were two or three instances where Epstein had hung out with Clinton.
