If Republicans get one democrat in the senate to vote with them, it's 20-20 with baste black lady Lt. Gov Winsome Sears as the tiebreaker. So pretty much guaranteed mask mandate exemptions on an emergency timeline. Will be nice to have that enshrined in law- pretty wild to see how well NoVA is doing while vaxxed+masked DC rots in homeless squalor just over the river.
Will also be nice to see the local schoolkids not forced to wear masks because of psycho fed employee wine moms

It will be a good start but until the School Boards of all of NoVA is sues and/or arrested the psycho fed wine moms are still out there destroying NoVA kids. Fairfax Country has even made it to national level of shame

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is seeking a social media monitoring service that will track hate speech as well as purported harassment and threats against employees, students, or racial groups – resurfacing concerns about First Amendment rights and school safety.

A request for proposal (RFP), which closed last week, showed the Virginia school district offering $200,000 to "detect help deter any negative actions or consequences coming from social media which may be directed to racial groups or any student or teacher within FCPS."

Under technical and functional requirements, the school district lists "Automatically classify aliases, usernames, emails websites, etc."; "Visually identify relationships and connections between persons"; "Save search queries and set alerts for active listening"; and "False positive reduction with embedded violence language classifier and metadata optimization technology."

Later in the RFP, FCPS clarifies that the services are intended for the Office of Safety and Security and the district intends "to monitor social media threats, harassment, hate speech, and bullying." It further described the requested service as "'social media listening' that targets FCPS ‘brand.'"

On Tuesday, FCPS spokesperson Julie Moult said the program was part of a broader effort to create a safe school environment.

"The FCPS Social Media monitoring program is in the developmental stage and is intended to protect students and staff from potential safety threats through early notification and response," Moult said in a statement provided to Fox News.

"As this program develops, it will be supported by regulation and procedures. It is only a part of our comprehensive safety and security program that focuses on a safe school environment."

According to the RFP, the project is scheduled to end either on Oct. 31, 2023, or when expenditures total $200,000.

But for Parents Defending Education (PDE), which identified the RFP for Fox News, FCPS' would-be monitoring constitutes an affront to First Amendment rights.

"Unfortunately for FCPS, students and their parents have First Amendment rights too," said PDE President and Founder Nicole Neily.

"The district intends to spend taxpayer funds to monitor and chill constitutionally-protected speech. Efforts to chill speech through Orwellian programs like this have rightly been challenged - and struck down - by courts around the country."

PDE Vice President of Investigations Asra Nomani similarly suggested the school district was participating in a broader trend of "Big Brother Surveillance" in the education wars. "Big Brother surveillance is part of a national campaign by teachers’ unions, activists and government officials to intimidate parents into silence," she said in a statement provided to Fox News.

In its RFP, FCPS declined to provide information on how it currently monitors threats. "This is out of scope for this RFP," it said.

News reports have also indicated that students continue to face race-based harassment. According to NBC News, the CRT issue flared in a Texas school district after a video surfaced in 2018 showing two students chanting the n-word. When the district responded with a "Cultural Competency Action Plan," parents revolted, and the diversity issue reportedly became the focal point of typically low-key elections. The U.S. Department of Education later said it was pursuing multiple investigations related to discrimination.

PDE's concerns echo those heard when the Justice Department announced it would investigate school board opposition. While Attorney General Merrick Garland maintained that he wasn't targeting peaceful speech, his memo came just after a highly controversial letter from the National School Boards Association (NSBA).

NSBA similarly maintained it wasn't interested in quashing peaceful resistance but raised alarm bells when it referenced the Patriot Act and suggested potential domestic terrorism.

It's unclear what exactly FCPS considers to be "harassment," but the proposal comes amid concerns about how school officials view parents' opposition to critical race theory (CRT) and mask mandates.

Last year, NSBA and DOJ referenced alleged intimidation of school officials – prompting questions about what types of actions they were referencing and whether that included constitutionally protected speech.

NSBA, in its now-infamous letter to President Biden, had cited several news reports on purported disruption at school board meetings – including, for example, a man reportedly charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct after attending a meeting. It also referenced a father whose daughter was later discovered to have been sexually assaulted in a Loudoun County Public Schools bathroom.

To add onto Chap Petersen's saga of being incredibly based, he helped add an amendment to a bill to ban mask mandates in all Virginia schools, which has now passed the dem-controlled senate. It's expected to pass the house, and Youngkin is planning on adding an emergency clause, allowing the bill to be active effective immediately after a simple vote in both houses.
They really broke for it, half the Senate Dems supported it. I'm amazed. And in addition, now the NoVa Dems have wasted a ton of political energy on trying to enforce something that will be illegal by the end of the month.

The Dem Senate also broke to force parents to be informed about sexually explicit content in schools and be able to opt out of it. Huge.

A lot of good bills are dying in committees controlled by Dems, but a fair bunch are getting through, and they're a good tell of what issues are politically toxic for the left.

Those issues seem to be, in no particular order: fucking with schoolchildren with Covid restrictions, fucking schoolchildren in a more literal sense (bathroom rape, disgusting perversion in the libraries and classes), critical race theory, and criminal justice. I'm wondering what the left has remaining in the tank if they reverse course on all that. Sexual degeneracy, hatred of whites, enabling violent crime, and spiteful authoritarianism pretty much constitute lion's share of the Democrats' policy platform. Maybe they'll just focus on corruption and patronage?

Forced mask are coming off on kids in schools on March 1st (hopefully this includes daycares) so hopefully the AG is gearing the police to start arresting some teachers.

Predictions:
-There's gonna be a video of some crazy BPD teacher shrieking at her class "I DON'T CARE WHAT THE GOVERNOR SAYS YOU WEAR A MASK IN MY CLASS OR YOU DON'T COME TO MY CLASS".
-There's going to be a campaign to make lists of kids who opt out of masking and fuck with their grades or their parents or something. (ETA: How long before "doesn't wear a mask in class" becomes a disqualifier for college admissions?)
-"My child is ImMuNoCoMpRoMiSeD! If zie is sharing a room with someone not wearing a mask, zie will DIE!!" (Bonus points if the kid is immunocompromised because they're 300+ pounds)

So the cold war continues as the liberal areas of Virginia try to keep the their tran's school policy. What is interesting here is that VDOE is basically saying if you do not adopt our policies you are opening yourself up to civil lawsuits.

Now I would have preferred to start throwing school boards and super-intendents in jail but kill a whole school district through a thousands lawsuits might actually work faster and cleaner.

I think reading between the lines the VDOE won't give them money after fucking up and the county schools will go bankrupt. Then the board has to answer why they let that happen.

There is also a election this November so if the lawsuits start flying a whole bunch of people are gonna get fucked.

Absolutely hysterical how fast they changed their tune after people merely protested the last model policies. As I recall, many school boards were forced to vote to approve Northam's policies even though the communities were up in arms and the board members didn't like the policies. The communities then realized in order to change the policies, they needed to take the executive. And they did.

All of this because one of their schools wanted to cover up a troon raping a young student in the bathroom? My Lord.

I won the beautiful commonwealth of Virginia twice ... and I won it by more the second time.

Yet the "BALLOT DROPBOX ROVERS" stole my very powerful Election Victories. These rovers, who are predominantly Black (not that there's anything wrong with that), circulate in their late-model Cadillacs from library to government center to schoolhouse. They "rove" from dropbox to dropbox and they collect the ballots very strongly. This is Not Good!

At a typical voting center in northern Virginia, up to ten percent of the daily ballots by volume are deposited into the dropboxes. Only the Republican Supervisor of each voting center is given a key to these dropboxes. The Republican Supervisor opens the dropboxes and bundles the ballots into sealed ziploc lunch sacs. These Ballot Sacs are then handed over to the Rovers of Color, who drive--ALONE, in their Caddilacs, which my Platinum Plan purchased for them--with the ballots to the Remote Tabulation Center which is typically the County Government Center.

This is a real MESS. I need MAGA Centipedes and KAG Millipedes watching every single Voting Center and monitoring the License Plates of every Rover. BELIEVE ME!

I think it was now cause Scott Smith was charged with two crimes: obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. He lost the obstruction of justice and got it dismissed on appeal already while he was going to trial later this month for the disorderly conduct. Plus this is great fodder to get into the news just how insane the DA in Loudon is right before the Report on the School Tranny Rape cover up comes out in 2 weeks or so.

And the chance the Republican winning the House just got better cause the Democratic nominee in a tight race has been caught doing sex acts for tips on chaturbate.

Funny as hell watching all of reddit Virginia collectively keep saying "IT NOT A BIG DEAL!"
