And I wouldn't have the taste of bile in my mouth. I wouldn't have been excited about it, but I could stomach a Rubio presidency
Kasich would be a fucking gift from God right now

Also, I fucking love this gif

So disappointed he didn't win the nom. I thought he was the best in that field.

My uncle was a hardcore Kasich supporter, what with his shirts saying "Kashich for Us" and "Kasich for Kids", which really seemed ass backwards. People think Trump is arrogant?

What are you people smoking? Nobody liked Kasich. He was polling at like 5%. Yeah, he wouldn't blow up his own campaign by setting a new record in unforced errors, but he's a walking Ambien. Trump may be a bad candidate, but he was the best bad candidate from the bunch.

If Trump was the best the GOP sent, they deserve to lose and get shafted in Congress

Yesterday afternoon, 538 said 11% for Trump.

After the debate, it read 12%

This morning, it reads 13%.

NOTHING IS CONCRETE.

There are no polls out for after the debate. These polls operate on a 3-5 day window and usually take a few days to update.

Give it about 5-7 days to catch up

I don't suppose anyone has been talking about the FBI files released recently into the investigation on the Clinton Email Server Scandal? Starting to look like your paperback political thriller.

Unsurprisingly the FBI is being uncooperative with the Congressional Oversight Committee.

After all this, the wikileaks, the Podesta emails, and the O'keef videos you'd think everyone would be calling for heads to roll. But everyone is so ho-hum about it.

Old polls rotate out of the tracker at a constant rate which causes day to day movement.
Nate's model is a little weird anyways. Sam Wang's at Princeton Election Consortium is more scientific and has less armchair punditry.

Oh, and don't expect the O'Keefe thing to move the needle. He's a notorious fraudster who has been arrested in the past for some of the dumb schemes he thought up to "embarrass" liberals. Remember when he tried to lure that woman onto to boat full of dildos and sex toys? The supposed "fraud" video describes basic get out the vote-- bussing registered, legal voters to the polling place. It's legal and it's good election practice; I've done it myself. When people talk about Trump's lack of a GOTV operation, this is what they're referring to. As a campaign you make it as easy as possible for voters to vote (and you identify which voters are likely to vote for you and target them): reminders, rides to the polls, helping them get ID, everything. That's politics.

Kasich consistently polled higher than Clinton during the primaries. His problem was that the republican base has gone off the deep end, the electoral field was fractured, and the media was ignoring him in favor of talking about the rogues gallery of crazies that made up the rest of the primary season. Simple reality is the man had no visibility, and even when he did it turns out republicans aren't interested in moderates. If he did manage to get through those hurdles however I have little doubt he would be beating Clinton right now.
I wonder at what point you have to admit, "yeah the media looks like an arm of the DNC right now"

Most of the entertainment industry is based in New York and Los Angeles, two very liberal places. If you're surprised that celebrities are mostly democrats I don't know what to tell you. Also c'mon, Will & Grace? What part of that show made you think the people who made it were conservative?

Even beyond that, plenty of conservative newspapers and personalities are saying they aren't voting for Trump. Unless you think Glenn Beck is getting paid off by the DNC or some shit I don't know what to tell you

Jon Voight?
James Woods?
Chuck Norris?

(not the best examples, I know, but Celebrity Conservatives DO exist)
