The funny part is “Hergonomics”/“RejectHisDesign” (woof) is actually kind of right that “identify as” does lowkey mean “pretend to be” and many people read it that way. It’s just that his alternative doesn’t make sense either: “TWAW is fine” doesn’t work as an answer to “What is a woman?” “Trans women are women”… which is what exactly? Even the phrase “a woman is anyone who identifies as one” is a meaningless tautology but if you say “identifies” is a slur, all you are left with is “a woman is anyone who is a woman” which, wow, very helpful.
