Second video gives more details on the remaster. Seems like it's going to be the same deal as the Graces f remaster which is pretty good because the Graces f remaster was very solid on PC. In series DLCs will be in while tie-in DLCs will most likely be out.

The real truth nvke is that bandai namco is closer to remastering Dawn of the New World before Abyss because Abyss wasn't on the PS3. I have zero faith that they'll bother with the PS2 titles.

The best we can do is a fanmade 2 player mod, prease understand.

Also somebody went out their way to fix the spell casting pauses for tales of phantasia which improves the game by more than you could ever know. Even if Bamco doesn't give a shit about the series, it makes me glad to know that the fans clearly do.

The Undine spell will softlock the game if she doesn’t remain on camera.
The game will softlock/freeze if you run away when a spell (pause) is active.
You can’t use hourglasses.
You can’t use items during spell (pauses.)

The bugs kinda turn me off of using those, but it’s impressive that spell pauses are gone. Now I’m curious how this would compare to the PSP version.

What did they mean by this? Are they going to get rid of the BAZONGAS remarks, the "Tethering" scene or the slave owner being a child abuser? People are speculating that they gonna remove the pipe from the gentlemen accessory because it "promotes" smoking.

I think it will be similar to the changes made to the Yakuza remasters in which dialogue where one of the characters remarks that his secretary was too ugly to be a rape victim, and also a sidequest where Kiryu runs away from a tranny and makes some sort of remark.

Seconded. Nothing worse than having the third act of a story skipped nearly entirely because the devs ran out of budget for the other character. The game is mid anyways, but that really pissed me off since it has a lot of character development skipped.

The only confirmed censorship change so far has been the pipe being removed from the gentlemen accessory, which is really fucking dumb. I don't think they're going to bother rewriting certain parts of the game because it's Bandai Namco and they're ridiculously lazy when it comes to handling this series.

Would it be worth doing a playthrough now on the OG version and then when the remaster drops in like 3 months, just play on Milla? Do NG+ effects carry over to separate character playthroughs? If NG+ does carry things over, I'll probably just go play Abyss or any of the other games in the series because god knows when those are getting remastered.

Yes, the grade shop carries over to another character in NG+. However, i think the secret boss is locked behind NG+

As someone who only has played Berseria(peak), Zesteria(meh) and Vesperia(Peak) is the combat better or worse than the previously named?

Its OK. Its hard to do infinite combs because enemies can just break out of it at random. I did like playing as Jude though. Snap Pivot is a cool mechanic.

It says later today on my side. Apparently the remaster's switch port leaked a couple of days ago and yeah it's 30fps at all times on Switch 1. I don't know how a switch can barely run a PS3 game but Bamco did the same thing with Graces F and that was a Wii game more or less.

Yo just a warning for anyone playing on anything that isn't a shitbox (switch), skits take longer to show up on higher framerates as of release. Not sure if Bamco will get around to patching this but it's the first week so maybe. The game's cutscenes feels a little more jank at the higher framerates but maybe they were always animated this way. The gameplay is still clean at 120FPS though, I'm glad they kept that over from the Graces remaster.

Oh yeah apparently the remaster is LESS CENSORED than the PS3 version and the only change they bothered making was the fucking pipe for some reason?? One scene that was censored in the PS3 version is uncensored here.

She apparently wasn't in the same studio as the other VAs and had a shitty mic. Apparently it's fixed in the sequel but for now I'm just gonna stick with JP dub and maybe play the EN dub when I do Milla's side.

It's very odd that only Disney is based enough to go "the following was a product of its time and may be racist" and move on with their lives.
