No, Moon Channel is not being vindicated. In the first place, setting aside the question of whether Accounting and Youtube is correct, his opinion is fundamentally different from Moony's opinion.
I guess "vindicated" was the wrong word then. It's not that serious lol.

Moony's video was terrible, because he is a professional Youtube lawyer, and that implies certain things about his competency, and he recognized that the video was terrible. It baffles me that you can continue to take him seriously on any topic when he claimed expertise as a lawyer for this video, a video that any intelligent person should have immediately noticed was terrible. If that video was bad, why would any of his other videos be any better?
Quote me where I said I take him seriously. All I said was that I thought his videos are entertaining, because I honestly don't consider YouTube to be anything more than that: entertainment. I only mentioned him because I thought the drama between him and Jobst/Mutahar was funny and ironic, considering both Karl and Mutahar claimed the moral high ground and their YouTube careers are pretty much in shambles now because of how much of a fraud both of them ended up being (although in different ways). And either way, if Moon Channel gets exposed as a fraud next, or happens to, idk rape kids or whatever, it's not like it even matters in the grand scheme of things.

But go off I guess.

I’m in tech. I actually came across his linkedin a year ago and was a bit intrigued that he got an diploma in Film and Media.

I didn’t think too much about it because his cybersec/malware content was pretty entertaining and I knew actual pentesters that had liberal arts degrees.

It’s only that compilation of him lying about being a “computer science engineer” and graduating that irked me. Like who the fuck cares ? I could listen to a plumber or elementary school teacher talk about SQL Injections or reverse engineering malware samples if they actually knew their shit.

Fucking jeet culture I swear to god.

I think there’s still milk to be squeezed out of the whole OneUp stuff. Two threads on r/youtubedrama are pretty informative, and this just in my own words paraphrased from both.

So, Mutahar, GamerFromMars, CallMeKris, and Oompaville supposedly built a company together that sells a 6-in-1 skincare product.

Two statements in that sentence, and two lies.

Mutahar and the others didn’t found the company. They also didn’t spend two years building it.

First, the product itself. It’s clearly a white-label item with their brand slapped on. It also falsely claimed to offer UV protection. a product needs governmental approval as a drug to legally make sunscreen or UV-protection claims. Imagine someone using this stuff for years in a hot climate, thinking they’re protected from UV rays when in reality, it does nothing. Paying extra for fake protection against skin cancer? That’s just wrong. Had this product been succesful we are talking about atleast some preventable cancer cases existing.

Second, Mutahar and the others weren’t founders, even though they were promoted as such. What they really were: well-paid figureheads, selling their credibility and audiences for a slice of the company, to push some generic, probably Chinese-made, skincare goo.

TL;DR: GamerFromMars is the mastermind. He runs (or ran) a marketing company and worked with Maximus Lerner and David Smith to start OneUp. GamerFromMars then brought Mutahar and the others on board.

Then when things started falling apart, Mutahar bailed, threw the company under the bus, and burned his bridge with GamerFromMars.

Honestly, Mutahar is profoundly stupid to slap his name on this, proudly call himself a founder, and then instantly backpedal when it all went south. If you believed in the product, stand by it. Otherwise, you were just fine letting your audience smear useless goo on their faces. Pokimane stood with her cookies, Delphine stood with her bath water, you are allowed to sell whatever you want, just dont make illegal claims.

Mutahar is never sorry the right way, it's always "Sorry that I got caught" and this why he keeps falling over and over again in the most assinine internet drama.

This video is from three weeks ago. It goes into Mutahar and Jobst's investigation into the Completionist's charity case from the point of view of an accountant. The TLDR, they did not know what they were looking at and kinda fucked things up on their end.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=YB8QnRZDHwQPreserveTube says it's too big.

Only reason this came to my attention was because it was on Chud Logic's stream yesterday. He'll have a YT segment out on it at some point and I think he has an interview with this accountant lined up as well. (From 2:36:28 in the timeline if the link goes tits up)
I just watched both of his videos, the initial video and the followup. There is a very big problem with this video, it does not provide sufficient arguments to prove to a layman that his claims are actually correct. Maybe an accountant could watch the video and understand whether his arguments are valid, but I am not an accountant. I have some misgivings about arguments he made in the video, but I am not an accountant and for all I know, I'm wrong for having these misgivings. Here's a list of some of my problems:
  • What this video should have done is present the actual tax filings of the OHF and explain why they look like this, and then explain that their tax filings are completely consistent with a charity that did not commit any financial misdeeds.
  • It really bothered me when he started his segment called "golf event conclusions" even though he had not actually done anything to warrant having a conclusion.
  • He should have tried harder to find a charity that reports less revenue on tax filings than their financial statements, his examples did show that the numbers will not match between GAAP and tax accounting, but every example he showed had a higher reported revenue in their tax filings than their financial statements.
  • His point about other charities that run golf events works against him, because we see that they report their gross receipts, and after removing contributions, they actually lost money on the golf event, but do we really think that the Khalil's, faced with the scenario that they lost money, would not inflate the market value of the golf event to shift money that should have gone to contributions into their own pockets? We know that Jirard was using Indieland donations to benefit his company TOVG, and while this might not be embezzlement, and might not even be strictly illegal, it's definitely something that can accurately be described as theft, or even embezzlement, from the standpoint of moral judgments.
  • The last thing I'll mention is that Accounting and Youtube exaggerates how bad the evidence is in Jobst's investigation, and how they made mistakes only a layman would have made. He admits himself that he was interested in this scandal in 2023 when the news broke, but he didn't realize that the evidence was bad until he actually started researching for this video 4 months ago (when Karl Jobst was disgraced, although he doesn't actually mention the timeline of his research and claims he started working on the video because the lack of legal action was an indication that the allegations were false), nor did any of the other accountants who watched the initial coverage of the scandal. A big part of the reason for this is that it really is true, at least normally, that charities must report their gross receipts (or their revenue, as Mutahar put it), which we can see in all of the examples that are provided in the video.
The big reason why this video fails to provide the necessary arguments for a lay audience is that the video is not really an examination of the case to prove that there was nothing strange about the OHF's tax filings, but, in his words "an hour and a half long video essay discussing the shortfalls of online investigative journalism." Did he really start this video because of the fact the OHF is a charity in good standing, as he claims, or was it because Karl Jobst had been disgraced? Also, the conclusion of the follow up video makes it clear that he is not trying to prove they didn't embezzle money, and he thinks they might have embezzled money in a way which is really easy to catch, and he hopes that law enforcement will investigate the OHF.

After looking at this again, he says "I can pursue my goal of becoming a filmmaker instead of a blue-collar computer programmer!" It reads a lot like he is expressing the fact that he has abandoned his goal of BECOMING a computer programmer in favor of becoming a filmmaker. Which would track with the college dropout narrative.
Am I reading too much into it? But I think that you would want to express this as "I can pursue my goal of becoming a filmmaker instead of BEING/CONTINUING ON AS a blue-collar computer programmer!".

I told people for years he would become a lulzcow one day. Anyone who respects Chris-Chan's pronoun nonsense is destined to become a laughingstock. Ginger cunt Gamerfrommars will be next. I bet you could make a whole thread around the respecting Chris-Chan pronouns curse. Similar to the Spoony curse. Everyone that backstabbed Spoony ends up becoming a tranny.

What I don't understand is why he even feels the need to come up with such extravagant lies. I get why he would lie about anything related to technology or film since his whole channel is vaguely tech related and so he gets credibility, but then how do you explain everything else? Why does he have to tell everyone he's an insanely successful day trader, brag about his parents, and pretend he's the CEO of a construction / real estate company? Those do nothing to make him seem more credible, and I don't think a single person would care if he said he just does YouTube.

Is the need to inflate one's credentials something deeply rooted in the Indian mind?

Maybe he's just retarded.

Muta has been fucking around with computers for 20 years.

Can you run nmap? Ever touch IDA Pro? You are now more qualified than the majority of people employed in the cybersecurity industry.
Have you ever compiled a C++ program? You are now more qualified than the majority of people with the title "software engineer"

A 12 year old with 6 months experience can become qualified to do these jobs. The bar is incredibly low. The whole bootcamp industry was built around the simple fact you can take someone with zero knowledge and have them professionally employed as a "software engineer" in 6 weeks. These jobs are obviously going away with LLMs.
I've been fucking with computers and programming for 25+ years as well, but that in no way qualifies me as an engineer even with 2.5 decades of shit.. Cause its a hobby.

Programming is in no way going to be replaced by LLMs. There are far too many things that are standing in the way of AI as a whole petering out again just looking at logistics, the situation with tariffs, energy consumption for the data centers running this shit, the myriad facets of political retardation we have going on in the US. If anything I see AI being more akin to CGI; some people will think its the future, others will hate anything that comes from generative AI like the art communities.

Besides the fact that he has fraud blood (Jeet) running through him, what makes someone lie to this extent? Especially when you're someone who uploads videos in which it means the mass can just pull up a video and point out the obvious lies.
Flood the zone with enough lies it makes it harder for most people to simply parse it all and call out the bullshit. Same way people deny, deny, deny, and get away with having people doubt what they see and hear. Just gotta hope theirs not that one autistic with enough time to catch it and immolate you. Famous people and celebs do the shit all the time, watch any public trial where an obviously guilty motherfucker gets off.

I think that one important thing that I have not seen anyone mention is Mutahars age and how it plays into the scheme of his lies. Mutahar was born on May 1st 1994. Which makes him 31 years old today.
This would mean that he was 18 years old in 2012, which would in turn mean that he graduated high school in 2012.
This means that he should then naturally start his university studies and thus his engineering studies in 2012. But the thing is that he doesn't start his studies after his summer break (at least not seemingly so), since he mentions getting accepted in film school the following winter:
Mutahar3.webp
What's interesting is that in the following video, at the 8:40 minute mark he mentions dropping out of college after a single semester.

It ties together perfectly. He studies engineering for a single semester and then he drops out and applies to film school.

In the following video from February 2015 (while he is in his second year of film school), at the 3:14 mark he explains how before "cutting footage together" he used to "code bank applications". Also, he mentions working in movies and tv... While being in his second year of film school. Who is hiring him?

My nigger, when the fuck is this bank application nonsense supposed to have taken place? When you were still in high school at 17 or 18? I think that he literally lost the plot with these lies and he himself cannot keep the timeline straight, thus he forgot that before "cutting footage together" he was in fucking high school. There is not a window of time in which this fucking Ranjeet has ever worked in IT/infosec/cybersec.
I would input the clips of him saying that after this supposed high school IT career he never had an IT job again but please take my word for it as I cannot, for even a single minute more, listen and look at this brown stain of lying caca.
He is too fucking young to claim that he has worked the years he implies he has, he is just a retarded smelly jeet and I can't bear this shit anymore.

Those do nothing to make him seem more credible, and I don't think a single person would care if he said he just does YouTube.
I think he says these things because maybe his parents have voiced disapproval of YouTube as a career or something, so he needs to reassure everyone that's not his job lol. Probably he's earned a lot of passive income from YouTube and sponsorships over the years that he can afford to treat it more like a secondary thing to whatever the fuck is it that he does outside of it. Or he's just downplaying it because he's ashamed.

Idk if him suggesting everyone to use ad blockers to block his own Google revenue is either him not caring that much about doing YouTube anymore, or him just downplaying it and throwing it out there as some sort of dare or something.

Also, he mentions working in movies and tv... While being in his second year of film school. Who is hiring him?

I do believe a lot of these "jobs" might have been offered by either family, or friends of his parents and the like, probably part-time so he obviously just went and added them to his resume as professional shit he's done so he can brag about his credentials. I don't think he necessarily can't keep the timeline straight, but more like he recognizes how important it is to obfuscate the timeline as much as possible. Else people might start to question how much of a professional he really is if they just... oh, wait! lol.

He gets the good boy points from being on the side of the people while knowing that anybody who cares already does block ads and those that don't care will continue to not care after hearing him.

All quiet in the designated shitting streets. Four days without an upload. Must be a record. I think it’s funny that a man who has spent so much time exposing others doesn’t even have the balls to address the drama. Behind all that facade he’s just an insecure little pajeet.

It could just be an extension of my seething hatred of thieves; but I don't get how people can ignore so many blatant lies, especially about himself and his own timeline. As I've gotten older, yeah there are gaps or I screw up a timeline here and there, fucking oopsy. I'm not perfect but I have a pretty good idea of where I was and what I was doing around specific dates or times and what-not. Even if I dabbled in shit, I can say I tried it or something. What Mutahar does is rattle off achievements and successes like he's stacking his H1-B resume.

There just comes a point in time you have to say he's lying; then ask if he's gonna lie over shit like this, what else is he gonna lie about. I never watched any of his stuff until Karl Lobst happened; but this dude goes above and beyond puffer, he's a fucking scammer, even if he's not taking your money, he's taking your trust, stop giving it to him.

In Islam, you can also just have a Nikah Mut'ah (lmao) marriage which is explicitly a temporary and less binding affair. It's basically just a loophole to hire prostitutes and pretend its some way dignified.
That's only a shia thing AFAIK (like taqqiyah) and, as you said, it's pretty much just a way to fuck prosties without getting smote by allah and dodge prostitution laws in shitskin countries. It's a big thing in Iran.

that in no way qualifies me as an engineer
Actually it does because "engineer" doesn't mean anything and there's no requirements to call yourself an "engineer". There's no lie here. I wrote a bare metal 3D software rasterizing game engine as a "hobby". Meanwhile nobody blinks an eye when webshitters call themselves "engineers", because they got paid money? The term is "professional".

Canada is an entirely irrelevant country. I don't care that they're angry non-train conductors are calling themselves "engineers".

Personally I like to call myself an Artisan. "ohno he's not a REAL ARTISAN!" lmao.
