From what I've seen, there's no news about other character redesigns. Venti is being featured in an upcoming event as well, so it's not as though he's been forgotten by Mihoyo.
Though a new character is on the rise looking like this, so it makes you wonder about how much they care about the censorship laws considering they censored four female characters before. Unless the censorship laws are more specific in what must be covered up on a woman.

I have heard nothing further from the initial rumors, and given that thus far we've only had female redesigns that seem to have partly been driven by a Chinese feminist group's screeching...who knows. It may be in the works, but it also may not be as we've seen Venti in his current form in the promotional material for the new version (or at least timed for when Venti will no longer appear in plot/events to try to mitigate backlash; but since Venti is a banner 5*, laws regarding gambling and changing the prize after you've won it come into play, which may also be partly why such effort has been taken to try to design gameplay to nerf Zhongli without actually nerfing Zhongli). It depends on the pressure exerted by a government body, which are often bipolar in attitude/pace at the best of times. I have a feeling we'll see more female costume changes before anything is done to Venti/Xinque, if at all.

Hi all, long time lurker and first time posting (I hope I do this right).
I feel genuinely bad for the artist, seeing as English Genshin Twitter is spilling over into and contaminating other places. I myself have gotten hate for being vocal about not shipping one of the most popular BL pairings by these people.
They're more sad than anything really, because no genshin ship is actually canon. They won't be canon either because Mihoyo/Hoyoverse's entire goal with this game is to sell waifu and husbando bait to people. They're not going to sacrifice their financial motif in order to appease rabid fangirls and fanboys.
Furthermore it's truly more sad when these people do not realise that if Hoyoverse does make a canon couple along the line, they are going to be straight. Most of the toxic twitter people seem to be western teenagers who are oblivious to just how homophobic China is. Yes, Genshin skirts the line a lot with gender neutral dialogue but since it hasn't been explicity homosexual it's flown under the radar.
I hope my entire post here just shows people who don't know anything about Genshin how pathetic these people actually are.

Venti is literally just a stereotypical medieval bard anime boy in terms of design so I think he gets a pass somewhat. Considering hewasn't redesigned when the females got redesigned tells me there may have been talks about this since that initial seminar.Almost all the "FEMBOY VENTI!!!" shit comes from the social media fanbase.
However, if they ARE gonna redesign him a bit, I wouldn't be against them giving him a fucking BIG ASS MUSTACHE. Like just go full in on the stereotypical bard guy look. I wanna see some three musketeers ass facial hair plastered on the anime bard boy and watch twitter go ballistic.
