Yes, it actually is female-only and usable for other things as well as dating, the creator Sall Grover has been 'cancelled' over it. But I think most lesbians won't use it because they refuse to be branded as TERFS.

Edited to add: When you create an account on Giggle you have to take a picture of your face and facial recognition software will determine whether you're male or female.

Mainstream press predictably ate this story up. Thankfully It's already been thoroughly debunked by Troonpilled but as far as I'm aware, no one's published a retraction.

Besides that, Nycto appears to be quite the colourful character behind the fake news. He sells stickers with troon slogans, and encourages people to leave them up in public places. He's claimed to be a multiple at least once, and openly fantasised about discovering a hidden razor blade behind posters before the alleged incident actually happened. He also recently put up a fake drawing by a little girl (which he admitted to drawing himself) to cover up one of the offending anti-mask posters.

And even though his Twitter account is currently privated, I have an account that follows it. And someone (God bless the hero who did this) already archived most of it on Wayback. He also has a "less public" account that he's tweeting from right now.

He's also a train autist, who has previously worked as a train driver. And has a bunch of troon friends who "stickerbomb" cities in the UK and Ireland.

That is fascinating; the "razors behind posters I don't like" urban legend has been around for decades but I never heard of anyone actually lying about it happening to them.

I have to admit I kind of dig the fake kid artwork, it's creative and the crossed-out dead flower made me laugh. Shame the person behind it is a lolcow who wanted to lie about it being an actual kid's drawing instead of just making street art.

I just learned about it the other day in an interview the creator did talking about the huge backlash they’ve had against it. even still they say it’s going pretty well and growing in userbase. they had a few crowdfunders get shut down and that sorta thing. I’m not big on social media so I haven’t looked at the app itself.
