He's using the fact that genitals will develop externally into a female phenotype with androgen insensitivity and other similar issues and banking on people not knowing enough biology to point out that a) a female with XX chromosomes will not develop male genitals when exposed to testosterone and b) XY women (or whatever you want to call them, it's irrelevant here) still have testes and don't develop a full internal female reproductive system.

The biological reality is that male and female humans are not only similar, every single human has genetic code for both masculine and feminine features. Chromosomes pretty much stop mattering after the gonads are formed.

This is simply not true, although maybe he is trying to weasel his way through by using the word "features" which can mean anything (like body hair). I'm sure men with X-linked disorders like Fragile X or Duchenne muscular dystrophy would be pleased to hear that their disorders are not affected by them having a Y chromosome now that their dick and balls are grown. That will save them a lot of worry.

And every single human produces chemicals that are capable of activating masculine or feminine features - naturally.

He is weaseling again here by using "features" and hoping that people think that it means that humans can naturally turn into the opposite sex, I suppose? People can naturally develop features of the opposite sex due to hormonal disorders (think gynecomastia, or PCOS causing excessive body hair) but that is nothing to do with being trans, which involves unnatural hormones, and it has nothing to do with genuinely becoming the opposite sex.

Plus, he is using this argument to distinguish transgenderism from transracialism, which makes it even more ridiculous. People can also naturally develop features that match another "race" (scare quotes here because if we are going to pretend to take biology seriously, we should admit that there is no biological basis to the concept). Vitiligo makes you get patches of non-melanized skin, for example, and melasma makes brown patches appear. The argument he's using literally becomes an argument for transracialism if you think about it for five seconds.

It is the interaction of chromosomes and hormones that determines what sexual organs the fetus will develop. The SRY gene, which is exclusive to the Y chromosome, literally plays a role in initiating testis formation.

Intersex does not mean having a fully workable set of both female reproductive organs and male reproductive organs like some fucking worm or germ.
Intersex means you are born male or female, but your genetics are all kinds of fucked up so for example intersex males have very, very micro penises and intersex females have very large clits.
Gender is not a spectrum. Humans were never meant to be completely androgynous hermaphrodites, even in cases of disfigured bodies. It's literally impossible. But these people base their biology knowledge off of hentai so who's surprised, really.

It is, but the idea that the default external phenotype is female is a useful concept to keep in mind because it helps people understand why the effects of testosterone are irreversible and the effects of estrogen are not. Once you go down the testosterone pathway (whether you are a fetus, or a 15 year old autistic girl taking T) you can never, ever go back.

A surprising amount of troons do not know this, or they pretend that they don’t know it so that they can validate their desire to trans kids. AGPs are fond of describing hormone treatment as 'reversible' because it’s an argument for making HRT more accessible. They only care about cracking eggs and trying to vicariously live female puberty via younger trans boys, and don’t give a shit about what happens to FtMs.
