Most people with social anxiety perform exposure therapy in order to treat their disorder. Assuming Dobson actually has social anxiety (which I'm skeptical of), its likely that he doesn't bother to treat it so he can get asspats.
 
If you do have social anxiety you don't yell it out in the internet. You shut up about it, treat it with some alcohol and learn to control your anxiety.

Wait...that takes effort and gives no pity points.

Dobson doesn't have social anxiety. He has what is known in the medical field as being a gigantic fucking pussy and needs a dose of man the fuck up.
 
Dobson has a fundamental misunderstanding of automatic levels and fun given his bafflement at people dying on the levels. People don't really want to play automatic levels. They just want to experience them. I mean, I guess Mario Maker gives you some kind of bonus for clearing other people's levels or something, so maybe some people play them for quick and easy reward. But an automatic level is something better recorded into a video, especially since the more noteworthy ones are synced to sound clips and music.
He seems to concerned, so upset, and so amused at the fact that people are dying on automatic levels. Like it's some crazy phenomenon that is interesting even after it's happened more than once. I assume some people are just having some fun and seeing what can happen if you intentionally fuck up the level.

Or, people are intentionally dying on it just to mess with him so he keeps posting about it.

People joke about it because they understand that there's something weird and silly about becoming sexually invested in fictional characters and posting porn you spent time on drawing of them. It's not sex-shaming, it's having a sense of irony. It's the opposite of self-shaming, really. It's saying "I know this is fucking weird and silly, but I like it, so I did it and I'm posting it anyway."
It has little to do with the sex sometimes, too. People playfully insult each other over little things all the time, especially on tumblr where that "I'm trash" stuff happens a lot. I've seen people on tumblr call each other trash over puns.

My guess is that he's making these levels and talking about people failing because he wants the feeling that only he is competent (and smart) enough to understand how to do the level correctly and everyone else is an idiot.

I'd assume he's genuinely uncomfortable when surrounded by a large group of people, but I would hardly call it "anxiety". Social anxiety, as far as I know, leads to people being unable to socialize in the least. These people usually can only talk to others on the internet and they are pretty much fucked the moment they have to talk to someone. It's pretty much like the "y-you too" meme, only worse.
Dobson might feel uncomfortable talking to strangers (after all, Dobmom always told him not to), but calling it social anxiety seems rather overblown.

Otherwise, look at it like this:
Dobson claims to suffer from PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Paranoia, half a dozen things where even just one of them would be utterly crippling... this could be one huge complex of issues that drag his social life into the bins -or- he's just garnering pity by blowing his problems out of proportion.

Even when Dobshit tries to act confident, you can always tell he's not.
He mentioned the naked-Korrasami-wank-pic and how it's gonna be a large step up after his CattyN days to finally release something without giving a shit about the trolls... I swear to god, I could almost see the shaky, sweaty hands writing up that tweet and Dobs desperate attempt to tell himself he's got enough confidence to do it...

Here's an idea: Dobshits levels suck so bad, people just jump into certain death situations cause they are bored and they want to leave the level early.
Dunno if the game asks if you want a retry after dying or drops you off directly, but if it's the former, I'd bet my ass on it.

A fun mario level should be one u dont need to play.
A fun RPG should have all conflict removed so he can play house (and run at 10fps).
A fun comic should have nothing but lesbian jokes.
