Yeah, pretty much. I respect the fact that it's a short list that they're completely open about and you know exactly where you stand. Unlike Western nations where we pretend freedoms exist but hack a journalist's car so they die in traffic when they exercise them, or fuck with people though Zersetzung, or plant kiddie porn on Null's computer then raid his house (2022).
Chinese people have told me they have a pretty clear idea of what's "really" illegal and what's just "illegal" which is most stuff on the books. Like porn, it's meant to be out but you're never more than a block from some guy selling DVDs from his bike who's in his regular spot every day and nobody cares. Most stuff actually only applies to Party members while regular people are chill, which is interesting coming from a culture where being a politician means no rules apply to you. But they're the corrupt ones, right
