I don't mean to dwell on this point, but I hadn't even thought of James Harries in years and was genuinely taken aback by how ancient he looks in the photos that were posted a couple of pages back. E.g.:

He's probably a pre-diabetic or mild type 2 on metformin.
He's been claiming diabetes for a while. Even if it was pre-diabetes when he first started claiming it, we have plenty of evidence of his eating habits, so I think it's safe to assume he is no longer in the pre-diabetes range. Is diabetes education a thing in Canada? Like in the US when you're diagnosed with diabetes you get offered an appointment with an "educator" who teaches you what you can and can't eat, and what to do if your sugar is too low. I've witnessed a TON of diabetes classes and never heard anyone recommend a McFlurry - hell, they'll even tell you to avoid soda and try to only use fruit juice if you can.
But then again, this is the man who complained about his metformin being withheld while he was arrested even though he had nothing to eat and the metformin was only going to make the hypoglycemia worse. He's obviously a retard who thinks the general rules of life don't apply to him.

I'm pretty sure he's "OD'd" on some sort of non-insulin diabetes medication in the past. It would have been in the first year or so of him being talked about here.

I think the OD was on dieting pills/injections. He did claim to attempt suicide by not taking his beetus meds tho
OD - he told one audience that it was accidental, another that it was deliberate. Yeah, iirc, he has claimed that he "self-harms" by messing about with his meds,

He's a proven liar so it's anyone's guess where the truth lies.

Glucose tablets are the only way to properly control hypoglycemia.
Treatment involves quickly getting your blood sugar back to normal either with high-sugar foods or drinks or with medications.

Immediate treatment

If you have symptoms of hypoglycemia, do the following:
  • Eat or drink 15 to 20 grams of fast-acting carbohydrates. These are sugary foods without protein or fat that are easily converted to sugar in the body. Try glucose tablets or gel, fruit juice, regular — not diet — soft drinks, honey, and sugary candy.
  • Recheck blood sugar levels 15 minutes after treatment. If blood sugar levels are still under 70 mg/dL (3.9 mmol/L), eat or drink another 15 to 20 grams of fast-acting carbohydrate, and recheck the blood sugar level again in 15 minutes. Repeat these steps until the blood sugar is above 70 mg/dL (3.9 mmol/L).
  • Have a snack or meal. Once your blood sugar is normal, eating a snack or meal can help stabilize it and replenish your body's glycogen stores.

He'd rather spend time looking for ice cream but not fruit juice. <shrugs>

OJ OJ OJ. Right?

Everyone in my family lives to be 100 -- but every last one of those m***erfuc*ers have diabetes.

Me? No diabetes and I have "the blood pressure of a child" (per my doctor).

I'll be lucky to make it to 60.......

Excuse me, what the fuck? I thought I had a similar gap in memory. Forty-fucking-three? Are you kidding me? I have seen 70 year old women who have better skin. This is the neck and chest of a 60+ year old woman who spent her youth in the sun without sunscreen and never moisturized. The damage and laxity is astonishing. The back of the arms is the only true indication that they are not over 60.
For sure. She’s a walking Coppertone ad like nothing I’ve ever seen.
