Talking about Ghost of Thrones being 20 hours long so about 6-7 streams he says. You got to be fucking kidding me. This man is not a "gamer", this is fuckin' boomer grandpa status who discovered videogames this year.

I would love for Phil to switch over to just reacting to movies/shows/news. It'd be 5x more entertaining than his modern game playthroughs of fumbling around in kid's games while waiting for chat to tell him how to win.

I still stand by my theory that Kat is on the spectrum and emotionally stunted due to past trauma. I don't believe she even is interested in, or thinks she is capable of, finding a better man than Phil.

It wouldn't be hard, but for some people it's just easier to accept your lot.

I doubt Catherine even wants a man. She's the classic case of a woman that just wants someone to provide her a house and a decent life. Say what you will about her settling with Phil, but Catherine knows the alternative is much worse just by seeing her sister.

Why is he playing through ghost again? I know dlc came out, but that doesn't warrant a whole playthrough.

Except that he says that about stuff that hits the nail on the head, and keeps coming up in the chat, like the LINE account, or when OiC ruined his own gay-op and Phil was forced to either kick him to the curb or deal with the potential consequences of keeping his best whale around. If he can run from it because it's only on the Farms, he does exactly that. I think this would go especially for discussions about his "mom" slip-ups, too, because no matter where we go with it, it's a topic I think even Phil knows NOT to draw attention to. And even if he doesn't, he's fairly sensitive about inquiries into his home life, and like to get agitated by whatever direction it goes in.

Phil would do this even if his Mom was living with him, though. He'd find some semantic to justify anything.

Every time Phil refers to someone as stupid, morahn, idiot, etc... there's at least a kernel of truth in what the "detractor" said.

What gets me is that he still does it after all these years of people figuring out that the pattern means something.

As for his mom living with him, there's a reason he moved to the other side of the country with his replacement caretaker, then when she left his ass, replaced her as quickly as possible with yet another woman to fill the "mom" role in his life. I don't think Phil would even talk to Linda if he wasn't too spineless to reject her calls.

Maybe I'm being LATE, but what makes you say that she's a woman who just wants to be kept? She works in a grocery store, her wedding dress was 100% polyester. From my perspective, she exhibits the needs of a child, not as a woman with an ulterior motive.

If she was the type of woman you say she is, she would be long gone.

I didn't even think about it that way but you're absolutely right and it really is promoting stuff and getting pennies instead of promoting stuff and getting adequate payment.

Using this as a jumping off point because I have the same mindset about why I don't think Phil's mom is there. But, I'd also add not only would he try to frame it as him being a good guy and taking care of his parents, but he'd absolutely use it as a begging tool. We've already seen him try and use his parents being on death's door as a way to drum up funds. If they were actually living with him, he'd talk about how they're too old to support themselves and he's being a good guy and taking them in, but that means his expenses are going up, and if we don't meet the tip goals how is he going to feed his frail parents and afford their medication.

IIRC, the first mom call was awhile ago too, so I don't think there's a world where Phil was able to keep it secret for months. I also don't know if there's a world where Phil would even want his parents to stay with him. When he flew them up to paint his house or whatever, didn't he make them stay in a hotel?
