I'm still halfway fixed on the notion that he's been hooked on them for years already. I had trouble with them myself and the cycle of clown mode giddiness - abrupt surge of random vexation - noncomittal drowsy shambling through videogames anticipating a wave of satisfaction in victory and receiving fuck all feels all too familiar to me.

Of course it could easily be chalked up to what phil might call Muh Raisin Detra. How many silver shekels are being crossed over his greasy palms but I also note he'll appear some days with marks on his skin. Overindulging in sugary/greasy treats possibly but I personally found my skin would break out a lot more when I was popping too many good painkillers. If you're on them daily it's easy enough to convince yourself that if you stop taking them your pain (like his on again off again back issues) will be right around the corner even if your body has healed and you simply aren't giving yourself a chance to shake loose and see. Plus I can imagine him getting a sliver of withdrawls (which to be fair are horrible) and backpedaling like he does with oh you know pretty much everything in his life.

Also I picked up SFV 6 months ago on the cheap after having not touched it since I think early season 3 characters and the game feels way more fleshed out these days. He's just too much of a pussy to embrace getting his shit pushed in along the learning curve that is in fact not a straight line that begins and ends at learn one combo and repeat it until I'm dead. The latest iteration of grandpa tries to recapture his glorious youth wasn't kind at all to phil. Street Fighter IV also no longer exists despite actually playing that game a ton and claiming he liked it. A game he claimed he probably helped capcom sell 50k copies of.
 
I think he's lying about the idea it was supposed to be M Bison's cap.

Number one, he's allegedly been a fighting game fan his whole life and he doesn't know what Bison's hat looks like? You can scroll down this page: https://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters/bison.html and see pretty fucking clearly that aside from palette swaps Bison's peaked cap is RED. And has been pretty consistently for every appearance of him in every SF game. So I call bullshit that DSP doesn't know what color Bison's hat is.

And number two, cosplay is a multi billion dollar industry. Even if he couldn't have found a hat of that exact kind made by a cosplay designer, he could have spent an hour or two with some arts and crafts and given it the right color and embellishments to make it look right.

Instead it looks like he googled "nazi hat" and bought the first result. Which is fucking hilarious.
 
Phil saying he enjoys a muder myster which is doubtful considering he's unable to understand basic plot twists, let alone complex characters. Let's not forget bugsnax is his high bar.

The game itself is apparently rather drawn out and convoluted for the average person so I imagine it'll be a real slog for Phil's brain to try to keep up with the narrative.

Looks even better. Look at his sad mug, it's not often he just gives up and looks this miserable.

As an aside, what software are you using to enhance and make it look that good?
