I have as much sympathy for her as I have for any other ex cult member. She made some bad decisions, she probably abused people who tried to protect her, but she was in a bad place and the cult took advantage of her. She's not innocent, but she's as much a victim of the gender cult as anyone else.
That's the nature of cults, they blur the line between victim and perpetrator and that's part of how they maintain their power over their members who might otherwise start to see the cracks. But instead of getting help (as in therapists working with you through whatever teenage BS you’re going through), you get pumped full of troon propaganda and gender nonsense.

You probably don’t feel better, but you’re constantly told that you’re valid and brave.

And every time you take another step down the road to troondom, you get more asspats and validation.

Some Frankenstein doc offers you SRS, and everyone tells you it’ll solve all the problems and doubts you’ve been having.

Teenagers are hardly known for making great decisions. And you’re told that the sooner you do it, the better the results.

Nobody says: “This is a serious, mostly irreversible operation that can potentially ruin your life. Maybe you should take a few years to think about it?”

So I'm not sure what's her course of action.. perhaps she's just confused, but I've also known some detranser who explicitly said that they have been very rabid supporters of the TRA and have been aggressive with their family and friends for not affirming. And many who revealed that they used their trans status to creep over opposite sex. - But that isn't the main point, regardless what they did or didn't in the past, I believe it is better to foster the culture that people can recognise the cause and effect of their action and so they can also be 'forgiven'.

The current woke culture is a culture of exemption, someone is given the allowance to opt out of their actions if they can be viewed as the 'oppressed'. - but some groups of individuals labelled oppressors or designated enemies could not receive forgiveness in anyway. It is horrid that the the TRA and woke culture painted detrans people as enemies, therefore they could not receive sympathy they need. But Many detransers, especially the ones who become activists may stopped being troons, but they still operate in the binary victims/oppressors view, so the only way they think they can be given sympathy is painting themselves as sad victim. instead of taking it to themselves and fight the system with acceptance.

It's possible for these people to accept what they've decided for themselves WHILE arguing that there are still environmental/political influence that lead to some people trooning out. This recognition is not mutually exclusive. They can that they're both perpetrator and victim in this situation. It's possible to be sympathetic to someone while also giving them some tough love.

I have sympathy for them the same way that I have sympathy for anyone who's genuinely regretting their past actions because their views have changed. But the issues I have is with detrans 'activists' and how they come across in public discourse. I'm not talking about regular people regretted their transition and trying to make peace with themselves, but rather the ones who tried to push out their cause - which oftentimes hypocritical and unnecessary attention-seeking.

It seems like just like TRA, they could not still really accept themselves in the profound way. They still speak of self hate, having black-and-white and delusional views about sex/gender and they also yearn for that some 'reversal' procedures (that won't really fix anything in meaningful) would be the magic pill for their mental anguish. You can make them into another 'oppressed' media darling, with the system that gives out free cosmetic surgeries as much as they want just as our society are doing to troons now - it wouldn't help them foster any resiliency or self-acceptance they truly need, and they would still want to chase another high if we don't try to hold them accountable at all.

These are the people who still have whatever the mentality that lead people to become trans in the first place, and so they need some therapy to go through that. (Though sadly, that is rare today, because therapists tend to get brainwashed into transcult too)

Something a few pages back mentioned was that many old school HSTS troons started out chasing out their dream of becoming real women, but ultimately they have to accept themselves that they're not women, just transsexuals.
