Not that I believe he's really out of any money at the moment, mind you. He doesn't save, but that's long-term. He saves for the short term, meaning anything he owes money on every month, he makes sure he has it. Anything else is, in his mind, able to be wasted on whatever he wants. His bills are covered, at least the most important ones. The rest is being put off, or put on credit. No matter what, it's not what he's begging for, because the begging is every day and so is what he begs for: hitting the tips goal six days a week.

There is only one thing Phil needs daily hundreds for, because it's the only daily "bill" he has: Champions.

Besides just the amount of money he's blown on this game, its also baffling how he's even maintained interest in the game so consistently for so long. He must just be a complete slave to the game at this point. Theres no way anyone could still be entertained by a simple bejeweled clone after so many months/years. I know we can estimate how much money he's spending but do we know about the time he's wasting on this game also? I'd almost feel bad if it wasn't dsp, imagine just throwing all your time and money away on absolutely nothing.

Phil has demonstrated time and time again that he is a victim of the sunk cost fallacy. No doubt that's part of what keeps him going in Champions.

This is Phil's first appearance on camera in 2009. Even back then we had:
  • Hateful slurs (less than 30 seconds in!)
  • Flexing ("I was one of the first to play SFIV")
  • Dumb gaming takes ("LittleBigPlanet is overrated")
  • Muh mortgage/muh bills leading into begging segment
TL:DR, Phil has always been a roach.

 
Right off the bat he mutes the group before they have said anything.

He is so scared of being called out for his delusions that he has to mute everyone he encounters.

It's pretty fucking sad how scared he is of other human contact.
