Nana is being reprinted!
First coming are volumes 1 & 2, 3 and beyond are coming later (3 says it's coming January 7, 2022). This is kind of big, these books were going for quite a lot of money when the first print ran out. Better jump on it if you want to finish a collection or start one.

Nana is one of my all-time favorites and I only have volumes 13-21. I had been considering getting the digital versions of the rest and now I'm glad I held off.
Nana also had one of the best underrated openings in their series:

Maison Ikkoku is also getting reprinted in collector's edition volumes for the discerning collector or enthusiast of the series.

I read Nana back when Shojo Beat was still being serialized. Eventually dropped it (the way the plot was progressing pissed me off) but I did enjoy it up to a certain point.

how does it compare to the anime? never finished it but a friend loved it. might get them the book for a gift.

if anyone wants to get the Girls Und Panzer 1/35 Model Kits by fine molds, they appear to be recolored standard kits with gup box art. at least the Centipede type 97 te-ke is. i was majorly bummed because the two figured were dudes not shizuja and rin.

dont know about the other brands or models. i got the team oni set coming in and im hoping those will get figures because those tanks are unique to Ribbon Warrior.

Can someone explain what the fuck they're even doing with the Eureka Seven franchise anymore? I really enjoyed the original but every single thing to come afterwards has been a clusterfuck. Not to mention they couldn't leave the original alone and have retconned it multiple times at this point with most recent one retconning literally everything.

The new movie is coming out in November and I'm just scratching my head at the direction they took this series.

It's like they're trying to out do how much worse they can get with each new iteration.

Just a gentle reminder that the Eureka Seven manga is great. Everything after that is just based off of something special for the fans. The original 2007 anime was them trying to outdo Evangelion from it’s hey-day.

It almost worked, too.

A quick reminder that the 1999 version of Hunter x Hunter is better than the 2011 version, in my opinion

I remember many years back watching the 2011 version of this, and a year after that, I kept kicking myself for never finding out that there was an old version of this.

Is it three in one or just singles?
Also where the fuck is the bluray Sentai lol

Single volumes. 3-in-1 would be great but at the same time 3-in-1 volumes have different paper quality and you only get 1 colored cover image.

Also, I'm annoyed they're not releasing the next Skip Beat! 3-in-1 until next year. More than enough volumes have come out and I want to save money since it's a long running series.

So with the Crunchyroll merger in it's final form, it sounds like they're letting go of the current staff, redoing the website and everything entirely, and will be giving physical release to stuff that's been stuck in streaming only.

It doesn't sound like a bad start if Asobi Asobase finally gets a physical release.

I swear CN has produced anime in the past but most have been forgotten. The only one I can remember is IGPX (inline skating mechs) But I swear there where a few others I'm forgetting

Also in other news the Pluto anime might not be dead. Maruyama showed up in a video for a con in D.C. called Otakon last weekend were he mentioned an anime M2 was working on for 5 or 6 years would be due soon. although the key word is "might" because
A; he didn't specifically mention Pluto so it might be a different show,
B: the source is some twitterfag who apparently works with Otaku USA Magazine,
so unless the video actually surfaces take it with a grain of salt

Speaking of Pluto and on a sadder note, Fred Ladd, the guy who originally brought Astro Boy to the US passed away a few days ago, so that kinda sucks.

Big O season 2 was produced by Adult Swim

Tatami Galaxy sequel anime got announced, its been years since I watched the original so I might give it another go.
Also checked out the Shirobako movie in theaters, it was a lot of fun, while the musical number felt silly the different styles they did made it fun and the characters were just as entertaining as in the show. The ending felt a bit rushed, but on the whole it was a nice experience.

Funny that I bought the Blu-Ray (I didn't realize it had been out for a while), and suddenly, here comes a sequel.

Masaaki isn't involved, though, so lol.

Victoria wrote a nasty tweet in regards to getting fired, but deleted it immediately and said that she quit on instagram. Hopefully Tim Lyu also gets the axe.

I hope Sentai or Discotek releases Asobi Asobase, Gabriel Dropout and lots of other shows that still aren't available on blu-ray.

Adult Swim also helped produce those forgettable FLCL "sequels" that came out a while back.

Unfortunately they're likely bringing most of the same staff back, not that Sony or funimation has anyone worthwhile to replace them with. They were probably only "fired" so that Sony can renegotiate and have control over the terms of their contracts, rather than whatever was in place beforehand.
