Allen then claims to believe Vella did not actually kill Max, and says he was adopted after the local shelter refused to take him (presumably because the shelter was full, but there are 4 other shelters in Lubbock).

There is no reason to trust her, yet he defends this prospect on her word alone. It is not clear if he is trying to be manipulative or if he is simply in denial. Without proof, however, our suspicion remains that Max is dead.

Because of the points made in part 3, it is of unanimous opinion in our group of contributors that Allen's dox be included in this drop.
