Probably an ineffective DMCA. Butts should have done research. You're supposed to include contact details when you DMCA. I also don't see a declaration under penalty of perjury... so Butts might be able to safely claim it was all a lie without bringing down the thunder as we speculated before.

Of course, ED (and any ISP) would probably be able to ignore this notice with impunity as well because of its ineffectiveness. In short, Butts is retarded.

Technically, that's not a DMCA. That's just a vague claim of copyright ownership combined with a demand it be taken down. Any ISP (even one in the United States subject to DMCA which I'd imagine ED's ISP is not) could ignore it as not sufficient notification under the DMCA. For example, in addition to not identifying the claimant sufficiently, it does not state under penalty of perjury that the material is copyrighted. It just claims it.

That's not all that's wrong with it, just two really obvious things.

It's such a bad attempt at a DMCA that it's shocking that ED would give a shit about it, considering how often they get DMCAs.

They still have the logs up.

I think they're just making sure to point out the DMCA because it confirms the legitimacy of the material. Even ED likes to show that shit is real when they actually can, because people correctly tend to dismiss a lot of content there as fictional when it isn't sourced credibly (or is actually just flat-out made-up).
 
Yes Sarah, pointing out awful shit people do and did is not harassment.

Wouldn't be surprised if some of them are pedophiles too. Only reason I can think of them defending one is they are ones themselves they can'tsay it for free speech or anything because they've made it very clear how they feel about that already. Pedophile orwalian communists never thought something so vile to be real.

The same thing the 'cult of social justice' has on all its members, the threat of retaliation for not towing the party line.

Of course as members of this forum we all know how utterly disproportionate and ruthless that retaliation can be. Especially if you're a vulnerable young person with the misfortune of stumbling into this mess.

I'm still convinced that most of them are just idiots who assume that your popularity within the clique is directly proportionate to your morality. However, I will not be shocked if it turns out that at least a few of Nyberg's more unstable defenders turn out to be pedophiles as well.
