I was listening to an unrelated video and something interesting came up. I know we have already established this but I thought I'd bring it up again:



Red flags for - you guessed it - cults.

1) Commitment and unquestionable loyalty: paypigs will bankrupt themselves while throwing money at him, as proven by the latest retard mod that got doxxed (commitment) and Phil's own video footage contradicting himself is to be discarded: only what Phil says at that particular moment is the absolute truth (unquestionable loyalty)

2) Feeling as though you're working towards a bigger goal: this is two-fold; not only are they working towards tip goals in the short-term, but they are also working towards the goal of pulling Phil out of financial ruin (can't feed his family until youtube pays him, etc etc)

3) Us vs them mentality: duh.

4) Critical thinking is abandoned by the group: you can't question any of his scams, even though there are huge red flags. Xbox series X "donation", WWE, cat reveal and it goes on and on. Anyone doubting these things is shunned.

5) I think it is well established that Phil's audience consists of people with no friends. They have no one aside of his "chat" and him, this being the reason of them crawling back when they have enough and try to pull away from the Goutsphere. This group is all (or almost all, aside of family) they have.

So I haven't been paying attention to Dave for the last couple days since the Chris Chan news broke.

Has he talked about it at all besides telling his chat to stop talking about it? I'm sure he's pissed that most of the Kiwi's aren't paying attention to him anymore but I would have thought he'd jump on the "TROLLZ MADE CHRIS CHAN BANG HIS MOM" thing. Or maybe go with Ethan Ralph and say that Null was funding Chris Chan to sex up Borb.

What are the chat numbers? 20 during the best of times? Still 300 viewers is nothing for a full-time streamer. I know of electronics streamers who have 200 waiting in chat two days before a livestream starts. Nobodies get those numbers. Without 5 paypigs he would've already been done.

He says “you know, fans have been saying they don’t like this play through” or “the fans want to see more vestivals” or something, and then in the chat literally everyone is saying the exact opposite. It’s a total cop out for Phil but he’s been doing this a long time. It’s just Phil, who always just wants to serve himself at the expense of the fans cuz he has his paypiggies no matter what he does.

This really shows in his choices of games he's playing. Mass Effect 3, Fallout New Vegas, and things like that are all his greatest hits, stuff he enjoyed playing through for youtube so "Of course youtube is gonna love it dood!" Surprise no one gives a fuck. Then he does shit like Gamepass days where he's playing fucking Hello Neighbor and Master Chief Collection that no one wants to see, and his big new hot game for the month to draw in the new people: Fucking Microsoft Flight Simulator fam

For a guy who relies on new games to bring in new paypigs, because his commentary and personality sure aren't doing it, he picked the absolute worst games he possibly could, and he avoids new releases like The Ascent which could bring in views. It's almost like he's intentionally tanking his own channel but really I chalk it up to good old fashion ineptitude on Philip's part. Mind you his channel is tanking regardless of what games he picks in the long run, at the end of the day DSP drives people away with his toxic and greedy attitude. Only the most lonely autistic outcast incel losers can get behind the King of Hate's "positive" messaging.

And though he'll accept the money, he hates this. Phil really did picture himself having upgraded to a cushier gig by now, where he gets to drop the games entirely and just ramble for as long as he feels like doing, while getting showered with money and clout. Instead, because he was a stupid asshole for over a decade, the only thing he gets to do is beg for tips and be laughed at by way more people than he has for legit fans.

There's no going back now, and he knows it. He couldn't redeem himself even if he tried, because that would involve a full confession of everything, which would seal his fate just as surely as his current trajectory does. I mean, among those who currently despise him, who is suddenly going to change their minds because he admitted to lying about his finances for years and wasted countless dollars on mobile games? They're far more likely to just laugh than forgive. Maybe he would get a bit less hate, over time, but he would still be the Worst Streamer Ever. No matter what, Phil cannot get past his own lack of intelligence. Even if he embraced being a clown, he would still fuck that up somehow.
