Too many cases of people with various mental issues being diagnosed as troons and embracing it because the doctor said so, so it must be true.

I don’t doubt the validity of this. Historically, Chris has had issues with sex and morality. Repeatedly touching people without their consent, his weirdly veiled rape threats, “dumb laws”…there’s definitely a pattern here to back up him having the capacity to go through with this. In recent years he’s definitely manipulated Barb more and more to the point where she’s just become a prop in his videos. Chris seems to claim Barb initiated things, which (if true) could very well line up with her having dementia and mistaking him for his father, leading Chris to capitalize on the situation.

Chris has done a lot of self sabotaging, and said a lot of deluded things, but it seems far more likely that this actually happened to some extent.

Do you really need a serious study for this?

"I don't understand social cues --> I get pretty rapey with people who can't actually consent" seems immensely straight forward to me.
