There's a decline in the ability to concentrate in busy environments, to multi-task (concentrating on a single thing though, like a TV show in a quiet room, shows no decline), there's a decline in free recall (but no decline in prompted remembering)... what you describe though - falling for exceedingly obvious scams when they wouldn't have when younger - goes well beyond any problems the 60s typically bring. That would be a substantial decline in judgment more akin to early dementia. Most adults in their 60s are just normal adults with negligible and often imperceptible changes in processing speed.

If the audio is real, and if someone calls social services, and if Chris is sent to jail rather than some kind of psych ward or tard home, I have serious concerns about his ability to survive in prison. Sex offenders usually aren't the best liked people anyway, and his general demeanor means he's going to get fucked up anyway unless he's placed in "protective custody."
I really don't feel bad. Barb has literally brought this upon herself with her awful parenting since day 1, ESPECIALLY forcing Chris to stay in the crack house.
