There’s someone in my life that’s an occultist (they enjoy demons and lore but don’t believe they’re real per se) and even just picking up what I’ve heard from them, I’m so sorry to any occultist/oddities kiwis because it’s frankly embarrassing.

Lilith was a demon goddess, in some lore she was the original perfect woman created by god who was damned for not doing the dirty how god wanted.

I don’t know if I believe in demons either, but I’m downright offended that this potato is doing a Lilith look.

Her being Adam's first wife didn't come along until Medieval Judaism and it was originally satire. I guess people started taking that story seriously because of Talmud and Kabbalah logic?

Yes, more or less. Lilith was originally part of a satire, but was later imported into Talmudic canon (I know I've sperged about this before, but I can't be fucked to dig up the posts right now) to serve as the "original" woman when someone, at some point, realized that the passages of Genesis didn't quite line up. Lucifer and Lilith are similar like that — both were basically invented to be a boogeyman where traditional scripture failed.
