Just popping in quickly to go completely off topic for a sec, but I just watched a bit of the TIHYDP Ghosts of Tshushima and holy shit, DSP is an actual mushbrain.

(Timestamp @ 26:48)

Having apparently just come off of playing TLOU2, DSP was constantly harping on the game for being full of misery and Ghosts of Tsushima being "fun" and someone tipped to ask what was inherently bad about a game that was full of misery. Quote DSP:

"Why does every game have to make you feel good? Because that's the point. I'm not gaming to make myself feel bad I have enough stress in my own fucking life that I don't need to be thinking about ways to make myself feel bad, I have many ways that I can already feed bad with the things I'm already dealing with in my real life I don't -- I'm not so privileged in my life like some people that I have to force myself to feel bad you know what I'm saying there's enough going on for me to feel bad about. I don't have a privileged happy perfect life where everything is so good that I need to play a game to feel bad. I guess some people make games like that because maybe they are so god damn privileged in their lives maybe they need to feel misery in other ways but I prefer to enjoy my video game exerpeinces you know."

I can't get past how dumb of an opinion this is. This is an actual kindergarten childs opinion. I know this should have been obvious from his christening Bug Snax GOTY, but for him to unabashedly state it plain as day is baffling. One of the main purposes of art is to challenge. Consuming things that solely make you happy, or at least don't make you sad, is such a boring, worthless, slug-like existence.

And what is that dumb shit from Mr. I Hate SJWs about people who make "unhappy" stories being privileged? What? I guess all artists who have ever made total bummer art never experienced hardship. Fucking little baby Van Gogh, your life was so easy, DSP had to deal with TIHYDPs did anyone ever made This Is How You Don't Paints about you? There are paintings literally made using mud by concentration camp prisoners. Picasso's most famous work was made after fascists bombed a city. Bosch is now remembered largely because of his depiction of the torturers of hell. But of course, life is too hard for DSP to ever want to look at art that is sad.

(I was getting ready to write a dumb-long diatribe about this but let's be honest no one cares too indepth about my wannabe pseudo intellectual spergery.)

Lol, how? What legal mechanism allows them to take a cut of that every month?
Garnishment.

They can seize Paypal funds too if they want to go to the trouble.

This whole video is great but it, more importantly, includes his rant against other streamers that don't take breaks.
It's a must-hear if you haven't. It starts at 8:29.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=M4wo-r67DH0:509Truly one of the dumbest and most toxic things he has ever said. I love how he uses his own body as an example. "I'll be sitting here and all of the sudden I'm starting to feel tired. It's because my blood is not circulating well enough." OTHER PEOPLE ARE NOT YOU, PHIL. You can't judge other people's health choices based on your decaying body. He straight-up can't imagine that other people have different bodies to his. Let alone that other people are healthier than him.

I also doubt he's aware that most other streamers are at least 10 years younger than him. "You guys remember, when I started on Youtube, I was playing pretty lengthy marathon sessions of certain games, but now it's like, I need a break. I can't fucking sit here and play games constantly." Gee Phil, and how old were you back then? Late-20s? Isn't that roughly the age of the average streamer?

It really is amazing how he has convinced himself that he does everything in the best way possible.
Last thing of note is that he contributes his declining health pretty much exclusively to age. "You get old, that shit happens." Completely fucking helpless and clueless. His pathological lack of foresight will kill him in the end.
What a fucking idiot.
Been catching up and have this on in the background but let this be a reminder.

This guy takes frequent breaks, up to 30 minutes, for this purpose. To walk around his fuckin' house and he's still saying it's not enough. Maybe Phil, you should actually walk around your fucking house then instead of saying you are. Just like how you say you're going to pay your bills but you actually aren't.

No wonder he got fired. This man will waste his viewers time/money and take on the clock money dicking around not doing what he says he is.

Anyone see Panda Lee’s latest Instagram post? She posted several pics of her and some guy (who is much more attractive than Phil) motorcycle camping at some gorgeous lake. I wonder how eternally thankful she is that she got away from Phil. How much of a boost to her self-esteem was it?

One thing I don't get is that from what I could tell, his bankruptcy documents didn't include all of his monthly credit card payments or the CT condo mortgage -- all of which ended up being discharged.

In that case, presumably, his household is still making negative income. I don't know if there's some kind of means test with wage garnishment but presumably he could just keep lying about his business expenses to show that he is forever in the red, right?

God the more I think about it the more I realize how much of a shitshow his financial situation is. I would LOVE to know what number he is reporting to the IRS as 'net earnings' for purposes of self-employment tax.

Does that mean he doesn't have to pay taxes on the Youtube money since it's not wages? I bet he's thrilled now!

Are you his tax guy that we've heard so much about?
I think your getting this topic confused with something else. We were talking about midfirst, a civil matter, im not sure what taxes have to do with that issue.

So you cant legally wage garnish Phil. A wage garnishment is when the gov orders your employer to pay part of your paycheck out to someone else. Private contractors are basically immune to it because of how being self employed works. Your household income doesn't factor into garnishment too much, its more of what you make/how you make it. Usually no more per year than the total of the lowest quarter of your paycheck although other things can mitigate it.

apparently that was last year. good for her. she seems like shes living quite the life, like a movie. almost jealous of how glamorous it is

What is this new lore around stretching/oxygen in the blood? Is it just a super boomer response to people asking for less breaks?
Someone asked why he yawns so much. It's not because he's bored, worked, or tired! It's because his blood circulation isn't giving him enough oxygen to his body so that makes him yawn.

Yes, he tried to explain why he was yawning from being tired, while trying to say he's not tired, bored or worked (thought he worked hard?). What a passionate man. You just let him talk and he goes loose with all kinds of contradicting and stupid things.

Dave only wants media to consoom, not to challenge him and his worldview.

I posted a link above with actual examples of Youtube/Adsense "wages" being garnished. It happens every day.

Those payments are considered wages. They issue a 1099.

It's unlikely to happen but MidFirst could secure a one time garnishment. Imagine the salty tears if they yoinked one of his YT checks.

"Creditors cannot garnish the wages of independent contractors and freelancers, because wages are technically earnings paid to an employee by an employer. However, if you are self-employed, this is not cause to relax. Creditors – whether they are collecting credit card balances, student loans, or some other form of unsecured debt – can still file a claim against personal property or obtain approval for a non-earnings garnishment.

Non-earnings garnishments differ from wage garnishments in a few ways. When a creditor wins the right to garnish your wages, federal and state laws impose a limit to the amount a creditor can deduct from your weekly earnings. Generally, the limit is no more than one-quarter of your disposable income – earnings minus required deductions – or income in excess of 30 times the minimum wage. Whichever amount is less. Traditional wage garnishments are also continuous, meaning the duration of garnishment may continue until your debt is paid off or a legal withholding limit has been reached.

With non-earnings garnishments, a creditor can seize one-hundred percent of an expected compensation, such as sales commissions, contract payments, or receivables. However, this is a one-time seizure of income. Non-earnings garnishments are not ongoing like wage garnishments. While traditional wage garnishments are limited by law to disposable income from paychecks, creditors seeking compensation through a non-earnings garnishment can levy your bank accounts, income received from rental properties, and other sources.

While these two forms of garnishment are fundamentally different, the law still requires creditors to follow a certain process, including filing a claim, winning a judgment, and giving advanced notice."

Can I just take a moment to remind people as to how excellent Dick Stroking Phil Vlogs is? Holy shit. We have a renaissance of detractor content and channels (there has been a major uptick the last month or so) and the absolute king of detractors is active again.

This video inspired me to show you how to not live and why you should never envy Dave. Don't tell me he doesn't look like 60 in the first picture and WTF are those arms! 🤣
Pictures tell more than 1000 prestreams. Only two mums can love this money creature. Tell him, Snowkarl!

It could never be his up all night drinking. :story:
Maybe he's saying his heart is so drunk it just wants to go to sleep.
