I don’t even need to watch this to guess what the content be, which is something Jim should have realized is the actual cause of his decline. When every video is the same you don’t need to watch any of it, especially when every hack youtuber in the world made videos about this lawsuit as if 100% of the accusations are 100% true despite no evidence being presented in court yet.

The video is short and it is pretty much a repeat of everything Sterling said before, the words just kinda jumbled later and the only thing I've paid attention was on how much weight he lost. I know obese people can lose a ton of weight fairly easy at the start, but it is quite uncanny how fast he is going, is that healthy?
Anyway, I can slightly power level on this, as I did some freelancer work for a third party studio that worked with blizzard for animation. Obviously I won't say more, but I did visit the Blizzard campus a couple of times for meetings (that I never had to be there because it had nothing to do with what I was doing, but whatever), but this so called "fratboy culture" is just a bunch of arrested developed manchildren doing edgy jokes, a lot of them are just awkard losers that don't know how to speak.
That is why none of these accusations against activision and Blizzard are about physical and tangible abuse, but more so about "the culture" and unequal pay, which is a complicated claim because a lot of the money people in game dev make is tied to seniority bonus, hours put in and a lot of other stuff, not to mention if you are feelancing, you get what is in your Invoice and not a penny more.
Still, this is a blow on moral and is only gonna get worse, and with that there will be a push back. Remember back a few years the guys at Riot Studio were also getting the same accusation of "fratboy culture". Yeah, some of these guys made a new studio: https://www.odysseyinteractive.gg/
And here is the kicker, looks like it is a "no girl allowed" club. I can't give a clear info on that, it is just rumor, and I don't know the people involved in that studio, just gossip now.
Still, that wouldn't be a surprise move now, people just don't want to deal with the stress that is coming from a big corp enviroment with the threat of micro aggressions and PR nightmares, and so more Devs are retreating to small studios, doing contract work and soon enough the big AAA games are just going to be assembled pices from a variety of small studios under a hollow logo like ubisoft and activison (hell, some games already are like that).
i'm aware this sound like gay accelerationist talk, but Sterling is wrong, these lawsuits and accusation won't break into a revolution, but it will only make harder for women and other "minorities" as they get gated out from smaller studios that will want to just keep a close and tied group.
Hell, in one of my last California free lance gigs I did, the guy doing the hiring point blank asked if I had a twitter or any sort of social media, I said I had a instagram, but I never posted anything (and only a few friends, my sister and Mom were following), then he asked me if I was a "talker" and I said "no" and I think that is why I got the job, because I don't think he was all that impressed with my work

Given the lawsuit, I’d argue that it’s understandable that he made a video covering it. However, given the frequency with which he already covers this material, it comes off as microwaved leftovers

Sterling really phoned it in today, but the comment section continues to be filled with 'YAAAASS QweEeN!!' human dildos who have crawled up James Stephanie's arse even deeper than I even thought was possible.
There are times in a lolcow's career when he gets upstaged by his fans, and this is definitely one of those times.
Comments sorted by 'Recent' with no cherrypicking whatsoever. There are some kinda based ones near the top, made me think for a moment this was the result of Jim moderating them, but the one calling him an "angry gay man" has survived for over an hour so far, so perhaps not. This then must be what JQ comments look like before any kind of purity filter.
There are the usual suspects saying RAH RAH CAPITALISM BAD, alongside more specific comments against the games industry. (Imagine if any other industry faced this much moralistic grandstanding over ONE death - like, say, the vaccine industry?)
People are saying Jim looks good on camera, and that they've been waiting till Monday for this video to drop. (Imagine waiting all week for a video where Jim basically says nothing.) Others are saying that this is what the Jimquisition was made to be about. Nevermind the fact that Jim explicitly distances himself from the problematic things he did in the show's past, like... supporting the video game industry.
The crazy part is how sincere these commenters all sound, like the one who says 'Love ya J.S.S. Not in a parasocial way, just a human way.' Your mileage may vary, but I really think he believes everything he says. Some of them are just depressed and hopeless, and frame James Stephanie as David taking on the Goliath of teh evul vidya gaym industry!!!! :-K
The overall tone in the comments is not just admiration for Jim, but of gratitude. Even though this is the first episode in a long, long time where Jim didn't deign to say his signature phrase, he has trained his lapdogs well. And so they may just as well be thanking God. For James Stephanie Sterling.... son!
Also, I love love love that John C Newman (5th from the bottom) thinks that 'executing' these companies and putting all their employees onto government benefits would be beneficial in any way to the vast majority of the employees themselves (y'know - the people whose rights we supposedly care about?) But hey, I guess it's ethical to just render them unemployed, against their consent, under the guise of providing a solution to a problem none of them asked for! Communism is one hell of a drug.

The claims themselves are so overly cartoonish I honestly think the people working in California they filed it just watched the wolf of wall street and used that as the basis.
I mean, even the most basic claims are easily explained without the legal speak:
“The just play games all day and make female employees do the work!!”
The company makes video games, you sure they aren’t just getting acquainted with the product?
“They are encouraged to drink or show up drink/hungover”
Or, they work at a stressful office job and employees like to chat about their time at the bar the previous night to help get through the day. Like every other corporate office job. Or hell, like nearly any job in general. But I guarantee upper management isn’t a fan of it.

It is extremely hard to prove motivation for suicide. She would have been more useful alive since it would be a revenge porn case, something California is very strict about. But no, it wasn’t, and this will be laughed out of court.
I’ve always disliked activision, and I’ve made it a point to never play a game they publish long before Jim started making videos. So having to point all this out and look like I’m defending the company makes my skin crawl a bit. But all this virtue signaling to make every youtuber seem like they’re on the moral high ground he all leading to a very obvious sperg fest when no evidence is found and this all gets tossed out of court.

And I think i should make myself clear on this:
The guy doing the interview didn't directly said the word "talker", he did ask about social media, I said no, and then he danced around the issue of disclosing information about the studio, talking about NDAs, which only apply to the project per si, not the work enviroment, but they wanted people to seek the PR if anything, before going public and he asked if i ever had the need of doing so.
And that was weird talk, it was a free lance job, I would fuck off in a couple of months and I let the guy know that I never had any these issues.
That was the first and only time I got this sort of talk, and I think that studio recently had a problem with somone accusing them of workplace abuse of some sorts, so they were walking on egg shells
